Airborne Trooper
2016 Kidz Expo Finally did it and had my first troop on Saturday March 5th for the Albany Kidz Expo at the Empire State Plaza. A little funny how my first troop is where I work. Discovered I still have a few areas prone to armor biting and that I should always put in new batteries for my fans at the beginning of a troop! I was super nervous walking out thinking my calves would come undone or my knee plate/thigh ammo belt rubbing would be a huge issue. Once we got out there and the kids (and adults) went nuts, all the anxiety went away. I had such a good time and by the end of the night after getting home I was exhausted. 7 hour troop with a couple breaks was a great way to jump in feet first. Airborne Trooper
A few of us local to the capital district here in NY attended ChaseCon this past Saturday in Saratoga Springs. We had a good time and plan on making this an annual troop.
Airborne Trooper
Super funny that none of us noticed until half way through the troop that my captain sandie had his legs mixed up. He was wondering why he was having a hard time walking lol

Airborne Trooper
I had a very successful Star Wars Day and completed my 3rd, 4th, and 5th troop. The first stop was at Henry Johnson Charter School in Albany where we visited the three kindergarten classes and made a lot of children smile and get excited about Star Wars. Second stop was an invite from our local FYE at the mall where we trooped around the store and waved at the mall power walkers. My final troop of the day was at my local library where a screening of TFA was provided. Overall, I had a great time but I think 3 troops in one day is a little too much. Putting on a sweaty under suit a few times was not pleasant lol. May the 4th be with you 2016

Airborne Trooper
Troop 6th and 7th completed on Saturday, May 7th. First of the day was in Saratoga Springs for a March of Dimes event. The weather was perfect with just enough breeze to remain cool. Everyone loved seeing us out there and had a great time.No worries letting a kid hold my hyperfirmLater that afternoon, I trooped the Guilderland Public Library in support of Free Comic Book Day. If only I could figure out how to grow a lush lawn on Tatooine. The librarians put us to work! This guy in underoos sucker punched me!Under arrest for assaulting a police officer!

Airborne Trooper
July 16th Albany Med Children's Hospital This by far has been the most fulfilling troop to date. Going to big events and cons is fun but nothing tops making a sick kid forget about their troubles. I have 4 kids and another on the way and I can only imagine what those parents are going through. Definitely glad I wear a helmet so no one could see my ugly cry face.
Airborne Trooper
Troy Hudson Valley Cats game Completely sold out game! Had a lot of fun but now I know I need some inserts on my boots because my feet were killing me towards the end. Lots of fans wanting photos and overall great time.

Airborne Trooper
Yeah we have 2 more sandies in Garrison Excelsior, one of them being a SWAT member but I haven't met him as he lives on the opposite side of the state.

Airborne Trooper
Haven't really been keeping track of my troop numbers and I've had a few that I don't have photos for. Last weekend I made the drive down to Binghamton (Garrison Excelsior is really big) to troop at their local zoo. Had a great time and weather was perfect, no sweat!

Airborne Trooper
Participated in Albany's Strides Against  Breast Cancer event Sunday morning. I always love doing troops that represent great causes for the community. Last night I was watching the evening news and low and behold, I made the news!
