It's time to begin my journey from Clonetrooper to becoming a sandy. I have been a clone variant of some sort for over 10years including a Jango Fett. I basically lived on CT.net during the prequels. I'm excited to begin gathering everything needed to make the transition to a TD and become more traditional.

I'm shooting for The Alley Check V2 Sergeant and would like to apply for S.W.A.T. so my build will be with that end state in mind in the hopes of doing it right the first time.

I will be using ANOVOS armor for my base. I am on the tier 1 pre-order so I should be receiving my kit during the first fielding. hopefully this month early next month.

I have began gathering the additional parts to make it a TD,

From trooperbay;

1. Sniper Knee Plate

2. white paldron w/ separated panels

3. canvas shoulder straps

4. Flexible hand guards

5. Misc hard to find correct snaps, rivets, ect.

Pouches from eBay:

E-11

is a British Sterling SMG Airsoft coversion

with a real Hengstler counter w/ eagle

with a real M38 tank Scope

This blaster is HEAVY! I may end up getting with Sci-fire for a hyperfirm version for long troops. (if we get to tote blasters anymore, that is)

-Backpack

will come in kit form, from Dirty boy. to be purchased after the new year

Please let me know if i am forgetting something that i may need to acquire.

Thank you Airborne Trooper! I was curious about that one! I have not read a definite answer on that yet. I have both shoulder straps so either way I will be covered on that issue. This is exactly what I need to ensure a proper build the first time.

Gents, I think with all my reading and research here I have managed to confuse myself. During the scene where the troops are headed towards the docking bay there is a trooper with white ear caps.

In this pic his waist pouch looks to be a medium pouch not a small

Which trooper is this considered to be? and which pack, and pouches does he wear to be considered SWAT?

and his armor and Pauldron weathering seems to mimic Davin's, correct?

It seems that with the two white pauldron troopers flip flop accessories back and forth between editing so it is hard to determine.

If you double ply the elastic and sew it together it makes it much stronger and won't allow the shoulder bell to tug it as much. I just made a new set this weekend.

Armor was swapped out and around a bunch for the sandies. Your best bet is to focus on one particular scene the best you can. Look at some SWAT submissions for the trooper you want to emulate and go with that.

Mine just arrived and I'm planning to do the same as you! So I'll be following your progress with great interest.

I disassembled it and began removing the decals for repaint. I used non-acetone fingernail polish removal.

It took some work, time, and a lot of patience.

I forgot to take pics of the helmet with all the paint removed. sorry :(

I have already re-assembled the helmet and repainted the gray inlays. I will paint the black trim later this week along with the tube stripes.

I have a decal template on order for the tube stripes.

I did redo the inside of the helmet and afix the visor correctly according to canon.

initial paint is all done. all thats left to do here is the weathering now. that will take place when all the armor is completed.

now onto the armor!

thighs and calves are put together. Glue got a little sloppy but it will clean up with some paint thinner. I am going to hold off putting the outer straps of plastic on until everything is trimmed and test fitted. I like putting the armor together from the inside. It gives me a better long term hold and it makes the construction process easier overall.

now onto trimming and putting together the forearms and bicepts

Nice work on the bucket but I have to ask... When it was apart, was there a reason you decided not to raise the brow somewhat in the middle rather than leaving it as is? Also, how easy is it to disassemble? I was thinking about painting the inside and mod'ing the brow...

disassembly was very easy. back off the nuts, remove the bolts and done, The brow band is glued in a few places, so be careful with that so you dont tear it. If mine is too high for the white ear helmet I will lower it. It isnt hard.
