  1. i think matt is right! at least i also believe the ribbed section was made of seperate parts and the tupperware parts are very close. look at this... the pack isn´t the most common pack, but i think it is made of the same parts. maybe it´s just the bad quality of this picture but i think the ribbed parts don´t fit 100% together.
  2. welcome to the dirty side of the universe...
  3. here you go again, matt! awesome! thank you for that info! i will instantly try a search on ebay...
  4. matt, after all these years in the frontline of armor and stuff you become more and more the "deep throat" of trooper related stuff... i knew you were one of the best resource for screenaccurate information! it´s good to have someone with all these information with us! i´m very curious about your parts list for the backpacks!
  5. can´t imagine any better duo on this stuff...
  6. i´m really looking forward to this project! after the MDK guys quit their work for now this will become a real good alternative! you can point me interested already...
  7. wow, i don´t know.... this is a hasbro, ok, but... i don´t know at what price this will be sold, but i don´t like it. even for a cheap figure it is way to inaccurate i think... look at the helmet! i remember my old 1977 stormtrooper was looking better than this one... just my opinion...
  8. that would be great! thanks!
  9. yeah, i know, i know... this thread is old... so what? what was this moderator thing? is this still a pending job? i would like to help whereever i can on sandtrooper.net...
  10. yeah, i know.... sorry Alberto i was the one who asked for your reference pictures and still missed some details...
  11. THANKS! @ Brak´sBuddy you know that your armor and mark´s new sandtrooper armor was and is still my reference while trying to build my own screenaccurate armor. while i was happy with my Movie-FX armor within the last years i will try to reach the next level... in the next few month there will be a lot of work for me building my new sandtrooper armor. the raw parts are still waiting to be cut and sanded. i spend the last weeks searching for as much reference pictures as i could find to get the markings where to cut my new armor. your reference CD and your 70mm CD was a great source for me! isn´t your shoulder pouch made of leather??? i think it looks perfect! btw.: i used a replica canvas pouch for the strips and even left the most stichings in place so i just had to glue it on the swedish leather pouch. i added some more stichings to get a better overall effect!
  12. thanks for that input, seth! i will add it tomorrow! i´ve seen reference pictures of these kinda pouches over and over but i still missed this small slot!
  13. i used woodland scenic colors on my backpack too, works very well... http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/davin/replica_weathering.htm
  14. hey gang, i finished my shoulder pouch and want you to tell me what do you think about it... i used one of the well known swedish mp38/40 pouches for the main pouch and a k98 reproduction pouch for the small tool pouch. i can make a tutorial with a parts list and some pictures if someone is interested. it was a bit of work. the most painful thing was to add some stichings without the right tools and materials. man, my thumb still hurts a little... but it was also a lot of fun... i will add some minor details in the near future and of course i will add some weathering to give it the right colors and tone compared to my armor weathering... now, here it is:
  15. where did you find this rank listing picture?
  16. as Brak already said, the screenused had the kidney plate cut and i think it makes a difference while moving! i wouldn´t even call it a mod because the screenused armors are our references and if they had their backplate cut it is no real mod for me! btw.: the screenused armors didn´t had the abplate cut.
  17. good job on that pack! it looks very good for a scratchbuild pack! one of the best i´ve seen!
  18. at least you have someone to shoot at... sorry, i couldn´t resist...
