I kitted up for the public for the first time yesterday. Went to Iron City Cosplay. Met a handful of the local garrison there too. HOLY SMOKES are my muscles sore! The outside of my thighs are sore like when you go horseback riding. My shoulders are sore from the field pack. By the end of 4 hours my back was hurting from carrying the pack around. I also have 2 minor pinch areas on my shoulders right where my arm meets my torso. It was a lot of fun though! I rolled out of bed sore as heck today though. I'm getting old and stuff.

I have to say that a boonie hat is WIN!!!! ..and it makes sense too

$82 is for 2 of them...if you can find someone else that needs one you can split the damage.... I am using my second for a "Solo" variant that the Mimban Stormtroopers seem to have. I also have an extra Norwegian grenade case that makes an excellent libation holder.

Yeah, quite a few of us have the boonie hats, somehow as a tribute to the Tunisian actors (the one with the cigarette in his mouth mentioned before). It´s comfy and you can just roll it up and put it in one of the pouches or store it somewhere. We all have the shield patch on it and our rank bar (the black one ), and some of us have added different accesories to the hats, I have added two Bapty mags: Thomas has added his number: and Martin has added a torn Cantina Band ticket (just love the idea ) but I can´t find a picture of his hat at the moment.

A 360 view of my current pack. This is built to the spec of the thread above but it has the longer antenna whereas the SWCE pack had the shortened variation. I plan on stripping this down and re-stuffing the alice pack to create a more squared off shape. I hope to make it a little lighter in weight in the process. While the pack is dismantled it will give me the opportunity to exchange 2 of the original webbing loops on the bottom, inside corners of the pack with the correct polypropylene webbing.
