Darth Dad
I am attempting to get my backpack/radio from dirtyboy working as a audio play. I found a small set of speakers and hooked it to my mp3 player and sound is very poor. Anyone know what type of speaker system or mp3 player works best and fits into the radio portion or other parts? Kingpin Gwin
I use one of TK6294's Aker amps. Works great. I got the MR2200, fits perfect and plenty loud enough. http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=5790
Quartermaster
I use a small cheap 4 MB mp3 player I picked up in Radio Shack for about $20 similiar to this one... http://www.tmart.com/4GB-USB20-MP3-Player-with-FM-Function-Red_p124802.html?utm_source=shopzillaus&utm_medium=referral&utm_term=88005893&utm_campaign=product It's slightly larger than a flash drive and runs on a single AAA Batt. Lasts for hours. The amp I use is also a Radio Shack mini powered amp. http://www.radioshac...oductId=2062620 They sell it for $15 and it uses a 9V. The combo is small, lightweight, inexpensive and very loud. I have trooped with it playing the radio chatter loop as well as the Imperial March and even the Cantina music for up to 3 hours and didn't kill the batts in either piece. Highly recommend it.
