I'm hoping when Friday comes around that someone can take some high def. Screenshots of the TD scenes like the ones on the Look Sir Droids website. Unfortunately I only have a PS3 for blu ray movies and my computer does not have a blu ray drive.

I'm sure it will help greatly in our search for sandy details!

I was thinking the same thing. I have a PS3... and a Mac Pro. I was thinking of getting a BluRay drive (for the Mac) just so I could capture from these BR discs. But I don't know if theres even the software to support BR on a Mac, let alone one that lets you capture from it.

Alright Gents! Since You all are talking about putting up screenshots of the TD scenes I thought this would be the appropriate spot to talk about this. If I'm wrong then please correct me and my apologies.

I'm in research mode studying the TD scenes off of my DVD, not Blu Ray, before I start to put my AP armor and pack together. I'm looking to go with the Cantina Captain for my armor and pack build. Now, from all the squinting and pausing and rewinding and more pausing I have done.....eyes hurt....I believe that the armor worn by the Cantina Captain is the same armor as the Alley Captain who checks the locked door and the Alley Captain without a pack that talks to the spy before entering docking bay 94. The three things that pop out at me in all these different scenes about the armor is 1)the right breast of the chest plate have the same two small distinctive blotch pattern on the right breast. 2)Also the center of the chest plate has the same smudge pattern in each scene. 3)The helmet also has the same slight dirt buildup pattern located under the right eye in each of the three scenes.

What do you all think? I would put up screen shots but, I have no idea how to get screen shots off my DVD and put them up here to show you.

Now for the pack! I noticed that the Captain pack in the cantina has both upper and lower seedtray boxes painted black and there is a lab pipe on the pack. Different from the "Move Along pack" I was originally told the Cantina Captain wore. Now I have a strong suspicion that the Cantina Captain's pack is also the same pack worn by the Alley Captain who checks the locked door. The alley pack also has a lab pipe and black upper and lower seedtrays but, something caught my eye! At first I thought it was just light reflecting off the alley pack but then, as the alley captain walks away from the locked door he just checked, you can see that the upper seedtray is painted two different colors. The inner tray up against the Captian's back is blue while the outer tray is black. Looks like they clam shelled two different colored seed trays together.....one blue and the other black. So I went back and once again checked the Cantina Captain and his pack! It's dark and there are alot of shadows in the cantina scene but, as the cantina captain walks in front of Han Solo and Chewie, you get a blurry look at his pack. The very first or second frame as he enters the screen in front of Han and Chewie you can just barely make out the upper seed trays and see that it is painted two different colors.....Black and Blue.

What do you all think and if anyone can put up screen shots of what I'm talking about that would be great. I think this is the same armor in all three scenes.

I think I found most of the same info mid last year.

The Stop That ship! Trooper is also the "tracks go off in this direction" guy, Cantina captain and Door knocker and alley checker and tuck and roll guy. All using slightly different combinations of pouches, pack, wrapons etc.

Sweet! I just read that thread and It confirms everything I was looking at. Thank You! Definitely going to help me with my build and weathering.

Now, what do you think about the cantina pack and door check pack and the two different colored upper seed tray theory? It's hard to see it on the cantina pack but, you can definitely see it on the door check pack from what I see. The reason I believe strongly that the packs are one in the same is because of the weathered edges and corner on the tool box. If you compare the weathering it is identical on both tool boxes which show me it is the same pack used in both scenes.

If anyone can post these same screen shots from the Blu Ray hopefully they will be alot clearer. I brightened these up as best I could.

I would brighten those up, it's hard to see anything.

i watched ANH today on Blu Ray, unfortunately i dont have the facility to screen grab blu ray however i noticed a number of different things.

The whole weathering issue especially on the "Move along" trooper helmet has got to be re-thought.

When i tried to do mine i kind of sponged on and sponged off the colouring to get the desired effect however it is clear to see that the weathering on the "Move along" Trooper is like a splattering effect and kind of speckled look. Also the colour is more a dark grey as opposed to a sandy brown colour

anyone else notice this

The dirt and oil would have beaded on the surface of the plastic, that's why it looks spotted like that. A lot of it (if not all) was brushed and blotted with a cloth. But the oil is really the key ingredient.
