Muad'dib
In ANH, when the Troopers are storming docking bay 94, the last trooper on the right has no pack or pauldron but does have the diamond knee, no shoulder straps, an MG-34 and is dirty. Oh, and he has pouches on both thighs. I haven't seen anybody doing this version in person but I'd like to. Is it because it's not acceptable? hpdblues
Great thing about this place is that you can be whoever you want to be! Are you a 501st member? The majority of the crewmembers here belong to that organization. You do not have to be a member of the 501st to hang out here, however if "deployed status" is what you're after then you must meet the uniform standards of the MEPD - which by the way, exceeds those of the 501st for a TD designation. Great dialogue on what uniform items are mandatory and which ones are optional and who wears what and why. Read the various threads and decide for yourself. Enjoy your journey to the "dirt-side". Muad'dib
That's him! He may not have lost the pouches, but he certainly changed them! And what a punk, killed by falling debris. Even more lame-o than Fett's death.
TD-933
Boba Fett did not die from falling into the Sarlac Pit. He uses a thermal detonator to blow himself up and out of the Sarlac pit. His armor was blown off and he was near death. Dengar (another bounty hunter) found him and helped him back to health. During this time Slave 1 was impounded. This info is found in book 1 of The bounty Hunter Wars, Star Wars: The Mandalorian Armor. He is also seen (you even have to fight him) in Star War Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (for the PC), which takes place ten years after the Battle of Endor. But it was still a bad mistake by Fett. Muad'dib
Yeah well, "Let's roll!" because I'm taking it back! I see now that the "MEPD requirements" issue is being gone over by the higher-ups so I'll just have to wait and see what they say.
no-skillz
So ,If you have everything else besides a backpack, can you be a ? or should I just be a until I get everything together?
IanL
501st requirements of TD admission are: TD- Trooper, Desert Trooper / Sand Trooper To be posted as a Desert Trooper/Sandtrooper on 501st.com, a member must have: A Pauldron, Field Pack, and 1 other item from the following list: dirty armor modified armor (modified knee plate, abdomen, flat lenses, etc.) dewback prod/MG34/MG15/lewis gun or other similarly styled BFG ammo pouches So you need to have the pack to be a 501st TD. MEPD requirements are more stringent than those. If no pack = TK
no-skillz
Ok ill just post as a tk until I make a pack.I should have my armor done soon and I'll submit my pics to the 501rst and here . thanks
SethB6025
Neither a pack or pauldron will disappear. Seeing as you must meet 501st TD standards as part of qualifying here, those requirements won't change. If you choose to do a specific trooper for an event however, that is at your discretion.
