Viktor
I came across this documentary today, and maybe it's old news but I caught a glimpse of a frame where you can see that the TD's wore no neckseal. Guess the desert were too hot for the poor actors http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8pTJ4SkNlE&feature=player_embedded#
Rolf
Hard to say/see if they did not have the neck seal on in this pics: But in these pics, they sure have:

Viktor
Ah, you're right of course Rolf. Didn't think of those pics. Maybe it was just in that short frame I saw that they didn't use it. I think we all should get haircuts like that btw, I think they look awesome
Rolf
Yeah it sure looks a bit bright under he´s helmet in the pic, maybe just the angle.. or as you say, maybe only this trooper did not add the neck seal. Like we all know, they made mistakes all over. Mix armor parts around etc

FIVE
Even the crew wore neck seals... they were just light brown.
RogueTrooper
Ya gotta love the Diamond... He was a nice funny guy with a lot of great SW stories. I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of years before he died.
pandatrooper
If you watch Building an empire on the bonus Dvd, the first scenes shot in Tunisia show the 3 actors playing sandys walking away from the camera and I think they are wearing neck seals. kenthork
to speak about the first picture, what i think it is really strange is that there is not grey paint on the ear helmet piece...
Rolf
to speak about the first picture, what i think it is really strange is that there is not grey paint on the ear helmet piece... Copy that. Here you see the same helmet. But on the sergeant: Here back again on the no back pack captain again: And again the same captain wearing it:
FIVE
After the effects of the Jedi mind trick wore off, troopers met Obi Wan and Luke in the outdoor seating area of the Mos Eisley Cantina for some drinks.
Rolf
I just think try to drink Mr. to ****, so he do not blast him... and the rebel droids as well (you can also see on Mr. Move a longs face... he´s still thinking, shall i hold them.. or.. they seems ok, but... still..) kenthork
that's all good Rolf the question is now, is it will be acceptable if someone create a TD sergeant or captain without grey color on the helmet ear??? Juan...?
FryGuy
that's all good Rolf the question is now, is it will be acceptable if someone create a TD sergeant or captain without grey color on the helmet ear??? Juan...? Need 3 references, right?
kenthork
is the rule of three references is not only valid when one wants to create a new type costume? (like expended universe for exemple). base of the TD costume and crl already exists, it's just a little variation. to see ...
iconoclasta_88
that's all good Rolf the question is now, is it will be acceptable if someone create a TD sergeant or captain without grey color on the helmet ear??? Juan...? Well, Not for deployment. Not like that anyway. Deployment is the "rank" granted to a trooper that meets the requirements on the CRL, and those were designed to portrait the Sandtroopers in the best most idealized way. The archetype of a TD. Not necessarily in an Uber Accurate film production way. Now, for the new SWAT Team, that could be accepted. But that is yet a big Could. We are, just now, working and discussing how the SWAT requirements should be. Hope this clears it. Saludos

Plastic Fury
I can't even imagine wearing my pauldron without the neckseal, that would be so uncomfortable lol. I am sure that was just an oversight during filming, as we all know, there was no shortage of that lol.
Viktor
I already do. I get called a hippie all the time. Would be cool if you were the first who went for total screen and "off screen" accuracy, I think you should go for the look of the guy in the middle, that would be awesome Sorry, I am taking this too far, I will only be serious from now on
