Was doing some after Christmas shopping last weekend with the wife and while wandering around Kohls Dept Store, stumbled across these. The HDMX Audio Twin Speaker Pod. It is a self powered portable speaker for your ipod or mp3 player. Uses 2 AA batts and has its own volume control separate from your ipod or mp3 volume. Picked one up to test it out. Got it 50% off for about $10. Played my Sandtrooper Loop on it and it is VERY loud, clear and sounds great. Best of all, it is VERY lightweight. About half the weight of my current speaker setup. Darth Voorhees Posted January 8, 2011 Share Posted January 8, 2011 Nice...i had one of those. I then found this one, its louder and can use an ipod or SD card and is recharegable. Its 8.75 X 3 X 1.75. Its a tight fit, but it fits in my radio diagonally, which has a self made faceplate, thats about the same size as crashmanns old vac-formed one. Heres a pic of the unit.
