This is what I don't get. What is the pre-occupation with some members about wanting to have lots of designations? Just do a costume, and have fun. It's one or the other, enjoy the one you choose, and get off the "fence".

I agree about the thing with some peoples preoccupation with getting as many designations as possible. That's great if you have the quality costume for the designation but don't half way do it then want the same that other people worked very hard for.

I agree it is for fun after all. But sometimes we do need to realize the 501st has a much higher public profile than in years past. We have our quality standards that brought us up to this point. Working closely with and requested by some of the biggest entertainment names in the business.

We can't just rest on the laurels of past success.

It was my choice to go MEPD TD right out of the gate. Which delayed me getting my application in for 501st membership by several months. For me the TD issue has many factors. My dedication to the costume, love for the OT ANH, dislike for the costume inconsistencies of SE ANH (generation gap showing), and being left out of certain events for being a Sandtrooper. Perhaps its a combination of these factors that drive me to stand up and demand a little more respect and tighter standards for the costume type many of us here choose. After all it is a relatively easy mod being requested on the Legion board.

But anyway, it appears by the poll that the time for "dirt" may have arrived.

No I'm not running for any offices in the upcoming election. I just realized I sounded like a candidate speaking about a platform of reform or something.
