pandatrooper
On some of the backpacks, John Mollo refers to the “laboratory” pipe on the left side of the pack. Does anyone know what the length and outside diameter of this pipe is?
Quartermaster
Hey Terry. I just finished a couple of pack builds with the Lab pipe. I used a piece of 1" black poly pipe from Home Depot and cut it to about 16" long. About 4" from both the bottom and the top, I placed a black tie wrap around the pipe with rivets. Then spray painted flat black. Not sure what the "screen accurate" dimensions are. I just kind of looked at a few screen grabs and tried to match it up the best I could. pandatrooper
Thanks John. What did you use for the "caps". I noticed yours has these nice tapered ends on them. Sprinkler parts?
Quartermaster
Thanks John. What did you use for the "caps". I noticed yours has these nice tapered ends on them. Sprinkler parts? I use a set of Fiber Optic ports that are used on outdoor phone co. fiber distribution terminals. I have access to them and thought they would look good. They fit in the pipe almost perfectly.
