Billhag
John Any chance you can squeeze me in to that last spot for a pair of these?. I keep looking at the pictures of yours, then staring at my Stolla Weins and I know no matter how much I try to talk myself out of it, I've just got to have a set. Fantastic work Sir!,....and I can't wait to see them

I am in the same boat. I worked my butt off to get my Stolla Weins and I didn't think I would EVER get rid of them... well... those bad boys will be up for sale tonight. It really speaks to the quality of the product John/Lee are producing as I still love the Stolla Weins, but I just have no room for inaccurate pieces, no matter how awesome they are. Rolf
Your pauldrons look incredible and if you were still doing runs, we probably wouldn't be bothering with making one ourselves! We will definitely be taking a similar approach as we have two original mototcross chest protectors, and will be starting with those for a pattern. Should be a challenging project. Hope it turns out as well as this one! Thanks for the kind works on them bro . I really try me best too, to make them as accurate as i could back then. I did the hole project one man army, but i have a pro tailor sew them together. But i took the orders, buy all the items for them. Cut all the layers out for them, go and pick them up from the tailor. Add the velcro, and neck snap system. And ship them all out. 4 made in my first run, 19 in my second run. I did not earn much on them. It was a bit hard, but also funny trying to hit the right ANH fever in them for us all out there. But i will not do a third run of them, maybe one day (but i don´t think so). So its cool, that you take a shot too. I can´t wait to see them. I might, add them to my sand trooper collection too. I have a weakness, for accurate TD stuff. Cheers .
Rolf
BTW, just to make a comment on the price... the Stolla Weins generally (not always) go between $75 and $100 each, IF you can even find them, and they aren't even the correct model, so for me, this price seems more than fair considering these are the most accurate pouches we are likely to ever see (much more accurate than the Stolla Weins) unless we suddenly get some stunning new photos or Lucas pulls the originals out of a box and puts them on display at an exhibit... but even then, I just don't know how much more could be changed. I think John and Lee have really nailed it and haven't spared any expense for the sake of accuracy. Nor at any time did they say "this is all we will do" in terms of making the prototypes. They just redid them again and again until they reached perfection based on the current reference we have available. These are an amazing product at an amazing price! Copy that. I can´t wait, to get them home too . I don´t have many pictures of them. But here is a few. Cheers .

Rolf
Thanks for the kind words Billy . I remember when i first saw BB site, and i was thinking... one day... if i just could look like that...one day. I got: TE2 armor. My own pauldrons/the Scott run. Mark Cheng 1V, CA, Jodhpur boots. HF/ E-11, DLT-19, T-21 (soon the MG-15 i hope too). MP40 canvas, wien stolla, ww2 spanish pouches (soon the new BB/Sci-fire ones too). MH/SB captain version, + the sergeant too (in build progress). I have two new TD suits, on the way too soon. When every thing is in place, i will go to a pro photo studio whit all these items and get some shots. Hopefully of all 3 ranks, in a few different versions. In Copenhagen, there are also a few big sand graves. The plan is to go out there too, for some death valley shots too asap. (we have a very small desert here too, but its about 5 hours in train from here) I wanna end, whit saying a big thanks to Mr. BB for being a big idol for all us TD lovers. Long life the MEPD brotherhood .
Rolf
I just wanted to show the screen shot showing the back of the pouch. I went looking for it as I had never paid enough attention. This is from The Making Of Star Wars. As we can see here, the metal dots on the back side looks black. Will you also hand paint the dots, on the back too. If not i think i will humbrol pain them, when i get mine. Cheers .

We did a shoot in Yuma about a year ago and while we got some very cool pics, the sand destroyed one camera and the lens on another camera! Sand is very very unforgiving when it comes to delicate electronic equipment. You got it bro . I don´t know how many times, i have used your site as ref. Love your site, trooper gear and knowledge. I just got a new digital camera, if i go the desert i will protect it good. The desert is not that big, so on a not so windy day i think it will work ok. Here you see it: http://images.google.dk/images?hl=da&q...leder&gbv=2 I got one small question. I have all ways been thinking about, if you mp40 shoulder pouch in leather on your site. Under replica armor, is home made or a real ww2. I have been study the ww2 mp40 pouches hard, a few years and all its different versions. But i have not found a mp40 in leather, in that version. I know you can get it as only the 3 pouch, in leather. But it looks like, you have add the small tool box your self. Butt i´m not sure. Cheers buddy

The pouch is an original leather MP40 pouch but we added the little side pouch up for accuracy sake... even though the pouch in the movie was canvas... I think once Miraz and I get our pouches from John, this pouch too will be up for sale. What kills me is I paid $200 for that pouch and I doubt I could get that out of it... Maybe from a WWII collector...

As we both know, there are so many different versions of them. Blue for the pilots, green for the battle ground, sand for the german/africa battle krops etc. Some i leather, but most of them in canvas. I don´t know how many models they made, maybe around 40.. or 50. The pocket shape, dots, flaps, tool box, comes in endless combinations. This one here, is the pouch i use. It the best replica i have seen. It a little more high in price, but have the right look i think. Here you go: http://cgi.ebay.com/GERMAN-ARMY-WWII-WW2-R...p3286.m20.l1116 Here a picture of you, and the lovely pouch you made. http://www.looksirdroids.com/images/replic...or/Armor_03.jpg Your pouch looks like the same, in this picture. Did you make a few of them, back then. http://dgasser.com/Sandtrooper/pages/SandTrooper_091.htm Cheers bro . Rolf.
Art Andrews
Rolf, Lets start a new thread about this as I don't want to hijack John's thread about the leather pouches, but really do want to discuss the canvas pouches in detail! I have been sitting on the fence about which one to get and would love to review some of the options out there and see what we think! And in regard to your question about the leather pouch, the photo you see is of Arturo, who does the occasional leather work. If I am not mistaken, he made a copy of my pouch for himself.. or maybe that is mine as I sent it to him to make the little 4th pouch for me. I honestly can't remember.
