dutchy
I have been searching the net ever since I got word of the rare MP18/MP28 pouch in another topic. You see the Bergmann / Schmeisser MP18/MP28 had a major difference. The magazine for the MP18 was a snailhouse like drum( shaped like it) and the one for the MP28 looked more like the mag housings we know today but was also compatible with the MP18. Therefore I think that the pouch we are looking for is an MP28 one.. And guess what, no hits on that either. But guess what I found in a militaria shop..a pouch that looks a lot like the real deal. The only thing is that it said: Aiming cycle case... Ah well here you can see it... Let me know what you think of this.. Oh and one small other detail, since it's an original the seller asks $170,- excl.s/h
nico
170$ seems like a rather high price! Better make sure it is the right one before people here start buying them and then getting ****** off at you when they realize they`ve bought the wrong pouch! Hehe, just kidding! But then again, if you do get it and it turns out to be screen accurate, do take measurements and post them so people with wives can make them at home! I know that the price is sky high, but it is an original. And I still don't know for sure if it's the real one. But when I look at the floorboards to have a slight impression of it's size it should be in the right direction. And if people start buying it, there will only be one happy trooper out there because I saw he had only one of it. I will see if I can get the measurements from this seller, because there are none placed with the pouch..only these pictures.

I know, especially with this gnarly inflation at the moment that's some serious money...I scratched the back of my head also a few times when I saw the selling price. (captain whit dlt-19, right side) That's what I've noticed too. Otherwise this could be it.. Thanks for pointing the difference out Bro'.. The dude that sells them only has these with the strap and not with the dot
dutchy
My search wasn't over so I went on and on..this time I found this one.. This is in my opinion on of the closest things to the real deal for now. It's got the metal dot lock system and it measures 5 x 8 x 1 inches. It's an SS officer utility pouch..authentic.. This goes for a whopping $200,-.. Let me know if we hit the jackpot with this one..

Look very much like it, maybe its a bit too square like. And the strap is sew on the the out side, the ANH one looks to be sew on the inside. We will find that little basta.. asap, i´m sure bro. Here is a bigger shot of the ANH pouch.
dutchy
I won't give up on the search for this rare pouch. It seems also that it is longer than the utility pouch and a bit smaller.. But because they used a lot of stuff / pouches that were used by the DAK, Deutsches Afrika Korps I will go and look what they got.. The search continues.. Rolf
Are you aware of what you have found . This is one of the last pouches, not knowing the name off. And you found it, great work Luke. Now we just need, to find a few more of them. I got some of the small ww2 spanish pouches, like the ones used in ANH. This one is just there big brother, a bit longer and wider too. Once again, GREAT!!! find .
Productions
If anyone is interested I will measure out some dimensions for each piece of fabric used to make the pouch. Then anyone who wants to can get our ye old sewing machine ,and some fabric, and make some. Luke
