Scootch
Hey buddies! I'm working on my first AP and off to a pretty good start. I wanted to make my brow trim look "Sandy" and using some electrical tape as a guide I trimmed about 1/4" max out of the dome at it's center. I'm wondering if I should trim a bit more or leave as is. Tilting the faceplate a bit gives me the desired look but then it makes the com covers fit funky. Spread the love:
Rolf
I have got the same problem, whit my AP helmet back then. I just took the screw out, and made a new drill hole longer up in face mask. So you can pull the face mask longer down. That way, you can get the more sandy round bow like look. But you might have to trim a bit more of the back them, to get the head in. Also do the ears in the end, so you make sure they fit the helmet. When your are done whit the position. Good luck bro, and a big congratulations whit your AP. Its one of the good helmets. Peace

dutchy
I did put some of the excess meaterial of the brow underneath the helmet to keep it into position, so no extra drilling or grinding. And it is holding position very well... from the side.. And Scootch...thanx for the support you gave, I loved the letter You rock..
Rolf
I did so too on my AP bucket. I put some velcron inside the helmet, to hold the face mask away from the back cap/forehead to make the round move a long bow trim look. If i don´t work, you can all ways cut a little of the forehead, where you think the bow trim is too close to the eyes. But beware, only a few mm. Because too much, will kill the helmet. Any way, i like how i looks now. So if you decide to hold here, i like it too. Move a long bro .
