TD-5240
I am just starting on getting my armor and everything. Have not got it yet but will be soon. I will be joining up real soon at the 501st once I get everything together. How dirty can you make your armor. For example could I put battle scars and injuries add a lot of dirt what? I am really trying to figure out which to go for TK or TD but don't know which to choose from. Which one should I choose, I kinda like having the battle scars and injuries and the fact of a trooper getting down and dirty. So what is the scoop. SethB6025
I'd go for accuracy but thats me. You don't want to look like you just crawled out of the mud, less is more. As for battle scars and such I know the 501st finds it to be passable to a point.
TK-6829
I don't think battle damage is bad - as long as "tasteful". Too much and it just pulls away from the costume. As for the dirt, keep it simple...make it look right. Not heavy! It took me a while for mine, and even my "battle damage" scar can be removed if the legion decides it is over the top. So far, I have only heard good things about it.
SethB6025
John is a good example of battle damage done tastefully. You don't want to be covered in it, but a couple marks can add some character to the suit.
tk7602
i've been letting mine weather itself, and have been getting happier as i go. part of my weathering process was to lightly sand all of the armor. no more glossy abs for me. as a result, real scuffs and dirt don't so much come out anymore. my armor has gotten all sorts of messy after a few troops.
