AntonioTony
Hey all! I'm Tony, "long-time listener first time caller" for MEPD. I was able to snag a sandy from someone selling it on the main legion forums, and it arrives later today! I am pretty sure I'm going to have to do some modifications. I'm expecting the shins, belt and neck seal will have to be replaced, but from my understanding the rest should be able to fit my body with strapping adjustments. It came with almost everything, and pics will be posted soon. I got the armor, helmet, 2 ammo pouches, sergeant pauldron, boots, neck seal. Only major thing I'm missing is the undersuit. I am considering making the backpack. I spoke to another sandy in my garrison who has one but doesn't wear it because it's very heavy, so I'm a little worried about that. I also plan to make an E-11 and macros. Considering making a repeating rifle, currently debating between dlt-19 and RT-97c. If anyone has stl files for the latter, please shoot them my way. In all honesty, this is my first full set of armor. I wasn't expecting to dive in just yet but the price was right so I jumped. I was also looking for tips on maintenance. Currently after an armor troop (tie pilot) I wipe down my armor and that's about it. Haven't had it crack or anything which seams far more prevalent on TK's/TD's etc. I was hoping you all could give me some insight on what pieces generally are more fragile. I know it varies from kit to kit and unfortunately, I don't know the original maker of the one I got.
