dirtydave
Any tips on how to put the main boxes together.
TD-1536
you can either... 1. cut one lip shorter so that it fits snug in the other box. 2. glue a long 'tooth' or dowel on the inner edge/lip that both box trays can grab on to. 3. Hinge or velcro them together to make them functional.
dirtydave
Thanks Mike,I was thinking of useing velcro so I could take them apart if need be.I will proably never troop so they will not have to hold to strong.Maybe I'll glue them like you said.Anyone else have another way to join them. SethB6025
I glued them together using tabs, kind of like Mike said. It held very nicely.

TK-459
You can also run thick zip ties through slits in the edges. They can be covered by electrical tape or accessories.
freakengine
I used tabs made of the leftover plastic I trimmed off. I attached them on one side with glue and the other with industrial velcro so I could disassemble them in the future if I ever need to. The trick was bending the tabs over and holding them with something while getting the boxes in place, then letting them go so they hit their marks. It took a couple of tries but I like how they turned out.
Robster
What about double sided tape/glue along the edges?
xeroroskk
i use screws and webbelt cloth to form a hinge along the inner edge, barely noticable, unless your looking for it or its not being worn, in which case it tends to want to fold itself in half, which isnt bad when storing it in the closet. SethB6025
What about double sided tape/glue along the edges? There isn't much in the way of direct contact space, tape probably wouldn't work, glue might be okay, but I don't know how long it would hold up for the reason already mentioned.
