Jediexecutioner
Hey Friends, This is my first attempt at weathering. I am using Brak's as a guide, but am trying a few different color mixes. I added a little black to the Yellow Ochre to make a very strange Olive color (the straight ochre looked like mustard). Anyway, before I continue, I wanted to get your opinions. Now I haven't Fuller's earthed the armor yet, (that is on it's way, and I forgot to order the grey, so I just have the natural, but I might find an alternate once I see the consistency of it.) Please be honest, I am an Imperial Stormtrooper, I was brainwashed to be emotionless, so it won't hurt my feelings. I am going for the less-is-more look. So I think I might have to take some off. The above pic is before I took most of the ochre off and added the custom ochre/black mix (I think it looks like I got hit with Grey Pupon) This is after the changes
SethB6025
I think it looks good, the light fullers will tone down the brown a bit, and in the process of dabbing at the fullers you'll take just a little more of the base paint off.
