  1. I am correct in thinking that I need a BFG for MEPD deployment? I just got my TD designation from the 501st.
  2. I am trying to find TD decals for an FX helmet. I know most of you guys have TE, AP or other movie-acurate armor/helmets. My size, especially when it comes down to buckets, kind of makes anything but an FX. so I am trying to find TD decals. Any help would be great. I could paint them on, but I think the decals look cleaner.
  3. Hey, I will post some pics later, but td7603's spacepack looks like it had some further mods done to it, am I correct, 7603?
  4. I guess the subject says it all, would the old Spacepack style backpack be acceptable to get "deployed" staus? Its what I have now, and I will be making a more accurate one from scratch later.
  5. I bought paints of the same color, but a different company, there is definitely a difference in the colors. My burnt Umber is not as red as the WS paint.
  6. Hi everyone, My name is Al, I am a new recruit of the MEPD. I am with Garrison Carida and am currently stationed in PA. I am excited to finish my TD and carry all the extras that we get to carry, especially the BFG. I also have a clean TK and an ESB vader (A member of the Sith Lord Detachment). I am using FX armor, mostly because most of the size (I am 6'3") and can't really fit inside a different helmet (I wanted an RT mod, but I could only wear it as a hat). I have made my own sniper plate and finished my ab plate mod (thanks Seth!). I will be using an old original spacepack for my backpack (yeah I know there are more that are screen accurate, but I like the spacepack) I might do another pack later, but it will do for now. Anyway, I am looking forward to working hard to get dispatched and looking forward to working with all of you. Al
  7. Hey Friends, This is my first attempt at weathering. I am using Brak's as a guide, but am trying a few different color mixes. I added a little black to the Yellow Ochre to make a very strange Olive color (the straight ochre looked like mustard). Anyway, before I continue, I wanted to get your opinions. Now I haven't Fuller's earthed the armor yet, (that is on it's way, and I forgot to order the grey, so I just have the natural, but I might find an alternate once I see the consistency of it.) Please be honest, I am an Imperial Stormtrooper, I was brainwashed to be emotionless, so it won't hurt my feelings. I am going for the less-is-more look. So I think I might have to take some off. The above pic is before I took most of the ochre off and added the custom ochre/black mix (I think it looks like I got hit with Grey Pupon) This is after the changes
  8. I just weathered my first piece tonight. I am going to take off all of the paint. I don't have the fuller's earth yet, but it has been ordered. Anyway, I finished after 1 hour of putting paint on, taking paint off, over and over (I am using Brak's, but not Woodland Scenics). I looked at the chest plate, and the first thing I thought was, Wow, I'll look like I was on the business end of a dog with explosive diarreha. So, yeah I am at the "What the **** am I doing" stage right along with you. I think that I need to get some other paint colors and just experiement. Let's all be glad that this paint isn't permanent.
