A few pictures need to be submitted and a few little things need to be revised. Nothing bad but at level 2 we want to be closer to the film than a level 1 trooper. Here you can check again whether everything has been taken into account and all the images that were needed are there If you are unclear, please feel free to ask. Small comment outside of the request: I would make the return edge - especially on the back parts - a little smaller. They may chafe you when you wear them. Also round off sharp corners a little. Rogue
Thomas, one last question. Do you think I could start to apply for SWAT approval? I'd be going after the "Move Along" Capt configuration. I've checked the qualifications, seems like I could pass. Is there anything I may be missing for approval?
bigwam
Hello Heather, About the photos, they are great. Regarding SWAT approval: That wouldn't be enough. If you want to achieve SWAT status, then you want to recreate or emulate a trooper 1:1. In your case the “Move along Trooper”. 1:1 means: the armor should be built based on the film model. Here we go into more detail: how far the cover stripes protrude, how big are the return edges, how far the chest overlaps the abdomen, etc. ... The helmet goes further: the eye cutout must be identical, the position of the brow and ears (and also the screws), painting, chips, and weathering must be identical. The pauldron should be identical to the trooper's seat. The weapon in the film would be a Bapty-E11. A completely different model than the normal E11. The backpack would also have to be completely redesigned in order to recreate the exact fit of the components. It's a lot of work that you should keep in mind before building any armor. Here's Hausi's SWAT application, so you can compare how complex it is and what requirements have to be met. The original trooper - here also the move along - is always compared with pictures.
