CrookKnight
Got more done today. Next I will work on the lower box, print the other TD and finish the minor touches. Once this pack is complete, I will need to send it to someone to model for the CRL.

And I'm assuming your reference is a hot toys or sideshow collectibles? Super impressed with your work though. You could totally sell those files on thingiverse or shapeways for a pretty penny. I know I'd pay for sure! These are modeled on Fusion360. Reference is the Sideshow collectible. A friend of mine does the detailed design for this. For now, I will be selling this as a kit or finished product. I may in the future sell on Thingiverse.
Caomhanach
Got a a question for you that I have always wondered about 3D parts, especially as you are not that far away from me in Savannah: How well do 3D printed parts in general hold up to the heat and humidity we get in the SE? I've often thought about getting parts that are 3D printed but that was always something in the back of my mind. You've done a lot so obviously they hold up well and these do look good but wanted to hear you experience on them...

If it is 100+ degrees and you are in direct sunlight you need to be careful. The material can warp. However, this has not happened to me. Everything I have created from 3D printing has held up great on the packs. Most pieces I print a minimum of 5 layers thick, so it helps with this. I would not worry about it too much around here. A good rule of thumb is if it is too hot to troop in your armor then it might be too hot for the 3D printed pieces.

BigStick
Awesome work, absolutely beautiful. I'm trying to decide on either an R1 TD or ANH TD, but I love the "clean" lines of the newer troopers & gear. Any Idea on the weight of that pack?
CrookKnight
Should be 5 to 7 lbs. Finishing up other packs people have ordered before I get back to this one. I also love the R1 TK armor.Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
CrookKnight
More progress. Going to try to finish this thing up now. I have built the pack frame using the same bend as the standard TD pack. I have attached the bases to the frame, painted, and will be adding all of the other pieces over the next couple of days. Here are some pictures.

Brokk
This trooper here is currently deployed with this exact pack. Sean, your work is top notch. I'm trying to get better pics taken, like action shots with my brother who is a photographer. What drew me to this pack is how it reminded me of the old radio packs the troops used in WW2; the grunt look which in my opinion what the trooper is all about. As well as my love for Rogue One. Hit Sean up if you need a pack guys

ireachy
Shawn, Fab work. As you know I love this pack and will be tapping you up in the new year for one. Still looking at rigging options on this to get the 'clean' no straps attachment. Interesting to see the Republic Commando attachment method. May be thinking of going dedicated back plate route i.e. attaching permanently to a back plate that I switch out with another 'clean' back plate for other deployment options i.e. no pack, ANH packs, or using the Crystal Patrol pack etc.
