Felice
Hi Ben! Thank you for your interest in joining the elite and submitting your request for SWAT OFFICER activation. Your gear is on spot and your emulated trooper is immediately recognizable. You are definitely on the right track though.... This trooper is the most difficulty one! Why? First of all we just have few pictures from his cantina scene BUT we have a lot of Pictures of his helmet (in detail) and his armor. Secondly our SWAT memebers #39 Strider and #44 Felixdario raised the bar very high. As stated before, we always stress patience during this process as we pay more and more attention to fine tuning with each new SWAT applicant. The MEPD Senior Commanders and myself will give your armor a full inspection and review. Some details may definitely be missed and re-checked, but we will try to catch them on every pass given until you are cleared and ready to join the Special Weapons & Tactics Team, brother! With that said, let us begin......... MEPD SWAT OFFICER: application review part 1 Name: Ben Smith Legion ID#: TD14614 Forum Name: ninjabenben Garrison: Carolina Garrison ANH Sandtrooper selected: Cantina Captain Helmet: Green lenses: check Paint color on traps / tears: check Paint color and number of teeth: see comments Mic Tips: see comments Vocoder color: see comments Rank bar: check Brow: check Side Screws (ears): check Weathering: see comments **Additional Comments** I checked your bucket from all sides and I tried to show you the mean changings in some Pictures. 1. Front check Principle Points: - cut out the right eye a Little bit more - the edge of the front teeth is more White - there is a gap at the right ear - the mic tips are not straight - the Vocoder is more detailed - there are some spots missing 2. Right check Principle Points: - I can not see the weathering on the original on the upper left side also your spot above and below the tube stripes and the three spots on the traps - shorten the brow a little bit - you matched the spot on the nose but missing some other main spots/cracks 3. Left check Principle Points: - paint run below the tube stripes 4. Back check Principle Points: - paint spots on the dome - I don't know if you emulated the paint spot on the neck? **Result on helmet** PENDING Armor / Suit Details: Canvas straps shoulder: check Neck Seal: check Black Undersuit: check Shoulder Bells: check Biceps: check Forearms: check Pauldron: check Chest / Back Plate: check Kidney / Butt plate: check Ab plate / Side Rivets / Cod: check Strapping: check Tighs: check Shins / Calves: check Sniper Plate: check Boots: check Gloves: check Hand plates / Guards: check Ammo Belt (waist) w/ correct angled edge: check Ammo Belt (right knee): check Canvas Belt: check Pouches: see comments Weathering: see comments Crotch Snaps: check **Additional Comments** Pouch: Take a close look to the position of the loop of the shoulder pouch. On the reference shot the end of the loop ends on the same line as the lower edge of the left shoulder. On the reference you can also see that the shoulder pouch is higher as yours and (probably) the loop is a bit shorter. Weathering: This is the biggest challenge for every SWAT application and no one will match the weathering to 100%. We all know that. The Cantina Captain is one of the most difficult trooper to emulate and you did a really great job to match the original! I just found some spots which need some rework.... Principle Points: - the dot on your pauldron is too large - you have to rework the main pattern on your chest and the spot on the abdomen - please shorten the cover stripe on the left side Principle Points: - add the spots on the right biceps and on the shoulder bell - remove some dirt on the forearm (in the rills) Principle Points: - add the spot on the left biceps - lift up your shoulder pouch **Result on Armor** PENDING BACKPACK Details: see comments Weathering: see comments **Additional Comments* Principle Points: - I have to see lab pipe - add some weathering on the electronic box - the syphon is a Little bit more incline - shorten the TD control Panel and lift it up It is really hard to say if the Color you used is the right one. Probably you make some new Pictures without the sun. But I think you used the wrong (old) blue Color. Check out this Topic. This is the right Color;) **Result on backpack** PENDING WEAPON: DLT19 Details: check Weathering: check **Additional Comments** **Result on Weapon** CHECKED & CLEARED Ok Ben, the first review is finished. There are some homeworks to do. But you will get enough support in this wonderful community and of course from me! Good luck and Cheers, Felice
ninjabenben
Thanks for the feedback Felice! I'll get on it!
TD42115
Ben, I just did this same trooper for the most part, its defiantly the hardest to emulate. Your almost there, a few more changes and you will be among us elite SWAT troopers. Great start
ninjabenben
Alright it's been a while (doing a bunch of house renovations) but I think I may be able to slowly get back into tweaking this thing. One question off the top of my head is for " the syphon is a Little bit more incline " ...could you elaborate more as to what that means? Thanks! Airborne Trooper
To me, it looks like the siphon needs to be straightened, moved to the right a tad, and aligned with the top of the radio more.
Felice
Yes, like Airborn said. Thank you and Cheers

ninjabenben
Thanks! This is going to take a bit longer than I expected. Wife is having some medical issues and the contractors that were remodeling some rooms in our house took the money and then went out of business. But hopefully eventually I'll get to work on this some more!
