TD42115
Made some weathering changes to emulate TD-16080 (Striders) Swat application as thats the general base for the Tuck and Roll..
dutchy
You're on a roll here and definitely making good progress. One thing though regarding the pauldron. It looks really "soft" in the picture. Maybe upgrading that one to a more accurate one as you are going for SWAT eventually. Looking forward to welcoming you in the Cantina! TD42115
Thanks, will be doing 501 submission as soon as my last 2 peices arrive. Funny you mention that pauldron its a older trooper bay one.. But yes it will need to be replaced by a trooper1 when going for swat, need a pack to get officer so that is a little down the road anyways :-)
TD42115
Changed the weathering on the bottom half over the last few days. now to tackle the top half, wile i wait for my last parts before submission..

TD42115
Quick question.. Do i need Sew-On Shoulder Strap Snaps for my elastic bridges ? or will the regular snap suffice ?
Airborne Trooper
Get the sewn on. The Dritz #10 are very easy to find.

Airborne Trooper
I built my sandtrooper to Centurion specs but obviously ignored/added features to make it a sandtrooper.
TD42115
I hear that.. same here.. at least its not needed for basic, but PO and Swat i can see it being a requirement.

KCman
No it isn't. Not sure what that is. Unless it's for the belt? But that doesn't look right either.

TD42115
Thanks guys, yeah I had to cut them up. Lots of sanding and forming with abs paste. Weathering has hidden the imperfections well.
LoveMonkey
Weathering has hidden the imperfections well. One of the many joys of being a Sandtrooper!
Airborne Trooper
Thanks guys, yeah I had to cut them up. Lots of sanding and forming with abs paste. Weathering has hidden the imperfections well. No way I could ever go clean with my current kit. Way too many scratches and imperfections that are strategically covered. TD42115
No way I could ever go clean with my current kit. Way too many scratches and imperfections that are strategically covered. Funny thing is, i did a 3 stage polish on my AP kit after the build was done as a TK, got all the nasty scratches out. then moved to sandy after the bridge issues lol so not much to hide but i did purposely made some scratches anyways before weathering.. Airborne Trooper
If you think about it, a sandy started off clean and shiny but went out to the dunes to do real work. You don't get too dirty on an imperial cruiser in space.
TD42115
HAHA yeah thats absolutely right.. here is one of the pictures for submission, had a guarder issue on one thigh, just fixed it lol typical...
