P3laton3
Hi all, I wanted show you my WIP on my firts Blaster. I bought a DDs kit and in the meantime, waiting the goods, I collected some references and tips here around. I guess that at the end of the day I even added something interesting at the build that could be useful for your build. At the beginning, I cleaned some edges with the dremel and drilled holes between the pieces that needed to be bonded and inserted pieces of a threated rod to increase the resistence using the resin I added the tip of a tiny screwdriver as front sight I drilled some holes as seen in the references I added the real screws where needed to increase the accuracy The aluminium rail cut, bended and drilled Milluput paste to straightening some weak edges and to add few datails like at the bottom of the magazine, here below I make the clip on the back side using ABS and the inner pipe of an ink pen A new idea grown in my mind, open the ejector and create a full inner barrel After sanding the inner part using a 2cm pipe and an ABS strip Here I made the spring using a crutch After few tweaks And the final look I drilled the rivet shape using a tip for wood and appling a sligth pressure after a while I changed the front screws with the striped one in imperial measure this time. here some bolts, screws that I added to the build some tweaks on the "hengstler" counter I cut the same 1/3 of the 2cm pipe that I used before and the ABS to create the reset button and the cover for the screen cover I recycled one of those transparent box after sanding I painted with the matt black the base and the inner part of the "mast step" divided per 6 parts I rised a bit the last number Even though I forgot to shoot few steps here, this is the final result after the Grey Primer on the whole blaster I added a first layer with the Brigth Silver, and on the Lens the brass. Here below the result after the sanding and few strokes with a dry brush. I forgot to mention that I drill the small tiny points on the front sight this is the "Rivet Effect" before the last black layer I engraved the "OFF" on the magazine I hope you enjoyied this my first serious topic you can see the full res pics on this link http-~~-//www.flickr.com/photos/p3laton3/sets/72157630729003332/

ChicagoMP
I am starting to look into the steps needed to construct a SWAT appropriate E-11 and this thread was great! The best part, IMHO, was that someone somewhere finally found a use for those infernal plastic packages that require a surgons skill to open.
