Any one know where I can pick up the single point scope that was on these?

The reciever and ammo drum are rotocast. the cocking lever has a bolt cast into it for strength as the first two that I did broke off. the barrel has a wooden dowell core and sc roto for the resin to make sure it has good stability and wont warp in the heat.

somewhat, but I'd considerit more of a dirtying than a yellowing. ABS doesn't yellow from UV damage the way styrine does. but from rubbing paints, powders etc.. it may start to get a rubbed in dirty effect. This is generally considered good. -Bill

sliced it with a razor knife while cutting out ab plates. I will probably do a few of them once I figure out how to do teh barrel. I want to make sure it is both light weight and very strong.

So far I'm pretty happy with it. Weight is under a pound and it can take a pretty good fall. I have the reciever section cast as well. I am still doing some more tests but this is the first of two tests I've done so far I need to reinforce the cocking lever and find a good way to connect it to the barrel when I get that done. The barrel is being a pain in the ***. Not sure what I'm going to do with that yet.

This just in, older people say it use to be better. More community less young people. Sorry this is just what happens. Communities change for better or worse and often times the founders and or long time members don't feel it fits them any more. I know at one time I was much more active here, now I seem to post more to some other detachment boards than I do here. I think it is more along the lines of when I first started here everything was new and I learned many things every time I came. Now, not claiming to know everything, but I know most of what I need about Sandtroopers and only check here to see if anything new comes up. -Bill

I'm not certian either. I don't think this would be the one, but I do think it may be a decendant of the one.

I've mentioned this before that the main box looks like it could be a paint tray or photo development tray, well have a look at this: http://www.adorama.com/DKTR810.html other than the small pour spot on the one corner I think the late 70s version of one of these trays could be it. -Bill

I got mine much cheaper from a guy on the dented helmet forum. He found the original T track material and has been supplying it to people by the foot. -BIll

I stiched some velcro into the tops of my flight gloves then stuck some industrial hook side velcro onto the inside of the hand pieces. Only problem is if I forget my gloves i cant really borrow someone elses. One thing I did to fix that was made an elastic band with velcro sewed on that stays in the botom of my tub just in case. -Bill

what are you useing for the part on top of the wetones canister. I haven't found a good griblie for that yet.

Walmart had cambles soup thermes for I think $3. The cool part is you can hook them up in a way where they can hold water for you as well. -Bill

Does anyone have any good pics of how the scopes mount. I know there are 3 scopes that mount to it and I want to make sure I can produce all the mounts and get everything done right. I've already invested so much into this I don't want to skimp on anything. I do plan to sell them if they can get to a good enough state. I am still working on material and a few more molds.

I'm planing on definatly bringing my ARC trooper as they are primarily a Comic character. If I have it done I'll also bring my Fett. If room I'll bring Sandy as well so we can do a MEPD picture. Sucks that Sandy is an after thought but it has made many many conventions and the other two haven't got the new armor smell worn of yet.

Right now this project is on hold until I get some things here at home done up. I am sorry for anyone that has held off on getting a lewis for this project to finish up. It isn't canceled but will be on hold for at least a month or possibly more.

Another filter to use is an oil filter. Find one that is about the right size and cut the metel shell off. The inside looks just like that. -Bill

Well, I got all new tile throughout my entire house and completely remodeled the guest bathroom replaceing everything except the bath tub. (I had to fight not to replace that as I really didn't want to rip it out.) Ohh you mean on the lewis guns.... Well, I am about 99% of the way there. I kinda got interupted with getting my house remodled as quickly as possible because my Girlfriend was moving in. Now I'm on that last 1% which always seems to take %50 of the time.
