  1. So, following on from my relatively successful attempt at scratch building a T21, I thought I’d try my hand at a DLT-19 the same way. This won’t be a detailed WIP style thread, just a few progress pics as and when I have them. I decided to go down the aluminium tube route and have it long enough to go through the receiver so it would help balance the weight out. I like my blasters to have some weight to them so they don’t feel like toys. A friend lent me his resin DLT to use as reference so I’m pretty much copying this. As with my T21, apart from the barrel tube, everything else will be handmade using scraps I’ve found at home. Here’s where I’m at now... I hade to make the muzzle myself from plastic tube by heating and forming it. I just didn’t think a mouthwash cap would be accurate enough for me. I have cheated with the bipod though, I actually managed to source this from eBay (just the legs)....though I have had to make the mount myself and I have made it so it will fold down and stow away. Thanks for looking [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Here’s a few progress pics...still some sanding/shaping to be done yet, the bipod actually works too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Brilliant...thank u for that! It’s just the receiver I needed, I have the barrel pretty much done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Following on from my fairly successful scratch build T21 I fancy having a go at a DLT-19. While templates for the T21 were fairly easy to come by, I can’t find anything as detailed or as accurate for the DLT. I’ve trawled through threads but find that the pics and links either won’t show or can no longer be accessed? Can anyone help a fellow Sand Brother our please? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks Urs! Accolade indeed after the one u built! U would not believe how badly I wanna strut my stuff with that bad boy! [emoji41][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Apart from paint and swapping out the screws for black ones I’m calling this done! There’s the odd bit of touch up sanding to do but otherwise, I’m really pleased with this [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. So, after reading a number of threads on the forums involving people building their own blasters I decided to have a go myself. (My current T21 was built for me) I won’t give a step by step account as I pretty much followed Pandatroopers build along with various bits from others. Her are a few pics of my progress so far after a few weeks. It has a working trigger and rear sight too. Got the extra wire and greeblies to fit today and then I think it should be ready for paint. Thanks for looking! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Hi Urs, Excellent news! Thanks so much for reviewing and getting me cleared so quickly! Also for yr compliments...I’m very flattered! First job...hunting down that coin and patches [emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Here are the new pics after the tube has been blacked and weathered...how are these? There’s a story behind the tape on the small pouch! I did a troop a few months back and we had to use a disability lift to get us to ground level from the changing area on the top floor. The lift got stuck so the floor of it was about 4ft from the floor and the only way to get out was to swing out onto a chair to get down. I removed my lid, pauldron and pack and swung out...after I’d got down I realised I’d caught the pouch on the edge of the lift floor pulling the stitching out of the strap. The tape was wrapped around it to help keep the strap in place while it glued again but I kept it as I liked the look of it. I’m so pleased it hasn’t affected my submission and had to be removed [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Hi Hausi! Many thanks for the review! Can’t believe I hadn’t noticed how shiny the mortar tube was! Rookie mistake! I’ll get on to that right away! It is an RWA kit..well spotted..and many thanks for the kind compliments! I also have a T21 but didn’t put that in for clearance as I don’t have a strap for it. Many thanks for taking time to review my application...I’ll sort the tube out now [emoji4] Regards Wayne Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Nice one...thanks! Yeh, it’s been cleared since May 2018 with FISD and has been trooped at least once every weekend since then...it’s definitely had some use! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
