quick and dirty, fun idea...
It needs the text perhaps around the perimeter that says "This is the coin you're looking for"
-
Now that I'm thinking about it, I've got a some-what clever idea that you guys might like. I should have some time today to mock it up.

I simply don't get it anymore..we need a pack, correct pauldron etc, etc..but we can leave the 4 buttons, too strange for me..Then you're a HWT for me and not a sandy..
getting 501st approved with 4 ok, but getting deployed with them.. <_<
just my 2 cents..
PM sent.

I'm attaching two samples.... What do you think? Here's a front/back image....
The front image would never properly translate. Better to think high contrast and bold details.

I too, am sorry to have this happen, Jay. You've always been an MEPD asset and I hope you the best.

That's good, Tom!
Like Luke said, I'd like to read what Ward could come up with.

You've got some awesome skills!!!

(I keep everything) Here's more pictures of the two-face mold. I highly doubt it's original, the details are just not there and it's too wonky, as in the bottom tube half looks torqued... as if a plastic face plate was filled with something heavy, like plaster/hydro-stone, etc.

I thought I'd open this up, to see what you can come up with.
From Scott Will, Merch officer
"50-60 words is the space, so it's not a novel, but enough to give a short overview about the characters....
By "fictional perspective", I mean it should be written as if the characters are real. For example, it shouldn't say "Stormtroopers wear vacuformed ABS plastic armor held together with snaps, velcro and elmers glue", but rather "Imperial issue Stormtrooper armor, made from blaster resistant polymer blah blah blah". You get the idea."

I think Zac has been away/busy. Please be patient. I know I've been equally as busy lately, just worked a 12 hour day.

Baltimore is our Garrison's home turf, so we would have a lot of work to do if we got picked. But, I'm hoping they have it at the new National Harbor (also in Maryland). The Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center is the biggest on the East Coast and there's plenty of lodging, dining and an awesome river front view.

I have no problem adding a unique section of deployment for anyone that wants to do an SE trooper, I've just never seen one. Like has been mentioned, I believe making an accurate SE trooper is indeed harder than the original ANH troopers. But if anyone wants to do it and shoot for deployment, I'm all ears.

Excellent build progress!

I'm intrigued!

Nice radio!

Very nice!

Mike, always glad to have your help. I'll ask Rob if he still has the design, and maybe we can tweak the edge of the coin a little, to make it a little different from the last run. Please excuse my ignorance, but what is Rob's screen name? Thanks again!

I have one from the run that Seth did a few years ago. I think Rob Slater did the design work. If you guys like that design, I'm sure I can get the original art from Rob.
Otherwise, I'm glad to hear you're willing to take this up. I've been too busy to oversee or work on any merch runs.

Holy shrinking molds, Batman. I guess that's what happens when a helmet becomes a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy. How many generations is the ATA... fourth, fifth?

Done.

I caught this post in the AM, watched it, seen that guy's video's before. If I wanted to take the time, I could easily counter it with my own view on the subject, but then we'd have a serious political discussion on our hands which is unnecessary and outside the scope of this forum. Feel free to watch the video, but keep the discussion light or we'll lock the thread.

Welcome to the sand box.

I've got a pic of me in armor at a Con where I'm double-fisting two MG-34s.

I've sent a couple of emails to Zac and have not heard back. If I don't hear from him by tomorrow afternoon, I'll go through all current requests and do the back-end work to get everyone deployed asap. You have my word.
