So I thought I’d do a build thread on the Mimban TK. I’ve started with the bucket, got some FOTK boots on order, and received the plash from mother Russia. I’ve got 6 approved suits already, so I entered this build a little hesitant; I don’t need any more costumes but that little voice in my head... ‘ that bucket with the shield is so nice..’ So here goes.. After about three layers of acrylics; grimy base, sandy mud, greyer over mud..

What’s the consensus on sealing off weathering that’s done with acrylics etc. Do people use clear coats or a gloss finish... or just leave weathering as is? I’m guessing the originals didn’t have a top coat. Cheers

There’s probably heaps more info on the forum somewhere but these guys are basically ROTJ TK suits that were modified for the additional shooting done during the nineties for the SE versions of the original trilogy. Therefore they look nothing like the original TD suits. As an SE novelty suit you’d think they’d get a CRL, but not these guys .. banished forever or maybe just the time being. After all Boba Fett has an SE version CRL. If you look closely minus the pauldrons, packs and weathering... these guys are ROTJ troopers.
