  1. Looks good, nice work on the bapty and great weathering mate! Are this Trooper's shoes really that dirty? Thomas/bigwam is probably right about your backpack frame though. Good luck with your review!
  2. Wow, great work and I love the idea of making it work as a diorama with those Lego figures!
  3. Thanks mate, I will! I just have to be careful that my armor still fits when I come home with all the delicious food over here
  4. Hi my dirty brothers and sisters, as the title says, I'm in the states right now, first three days in Seattle, after that almost three weeks in Bellingham, WA. If any fellow sandies from around that area are interested in meeting, having a cold brew and just having a chat, I would be delighted!
  5. Right, that's what I mean, that way there will be a steeper angle, but I think you will have to reposition the aluminum strips slightly, as the radio will probably be too close to the bottom curve of your Karrimor.
  6. To achieve that "bend" look, I just attached the lowest aluminum strip holding the lower seedtrays on the other side of my Karrimor, that way it at least appears as if the seedtrays are at an angle.
  7. This is an awesome build! Fun to watch! Would be interested in your shire syphon source as well pm me if you like got a resin replica but way too heavy...
  8. I used a dremel to cut small grooves into the t-strips on my DLT. They keep the wire in position.
  9. Hi Fred, looks spot on to me, nice work, I would only suggest getting rid of the mesh behind the teeth, not accurate for Sandtroopers, but brobably nothing to hinder your deployment. I assume that's a hyperfirm DLT? Good luck mate!
  10. Nice work, weathering looks good too
  11. Congrats bro! You have earned it! MESP is getting stronger
  12. Wow, these look amazingly realistic, nice work mate!
  13. That's great and it's in amazing condition! Where did you find it? I'm also looking for one but no luck so far. Looking forward to seeing pics of it on your Bapty!
  14. Sounds good mate, not too much work, piece of cake for you!
  15. Can´t help you with the 3d file but with another idea: I have an RS Props rubber foam DLT and it also came without a charging handle, this is the ingenius idea suggested to me by a friend: just take a flashlight and cut it up. So I went to the DIY store, bought a cheap aluminum flashlight with a knurling that came close to the original charging handle and about the same diameter, took it apart, cut it in half, added a piece of wood with a self tapping screw, superglued it in place inside the handle, drilled a tiny hole in the rubber main body of the blaster, put some E6000 on the screw and screwed it in, I´m pretty happy with it, looks quite realistic if you spray it black and then sand some of the paint of again, like natural weathering.
  16. Now I can see the weathering, good work, guess it's harder to notice, especially on that black pauldron.
  17. I just noticed something I completely missed while looking at your pics the first time: pouches, pack and pauldron are way too clean, almost factory fresh Add a light wash of earth colour to these parts and it will be great!
