  1. i have been looking through a few approved SWAT submissions, i do have to hit pouches with sand paper to give the beaten look..
  2. Saw this on facebook a few days ago so awesome :-)
  3. No Problem. I have internal snap strapping keeping the chest plate in the correct place at all times like the attached photo but i have 3 instead of 2.. one at each side and one in the center (replacing 1,2,3,4)
  4. I followed this post over on the FISD when i did mine as i was going for centurion TK before i converted to the dirty side. The split rivets that are required should be 8MM for accuracy http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30595-ap-armour-with-anh-centurion-as-goal-build-thread/page-4 Dannys build is a great guide to follow. here are a few pictures of mine. taken before the conversion to TD. Rivets are only on the left side non the right. A few people have done what i did and make snap plates instead of making the rivets usable. As for the emulation or installing the screen strapping on the chest and ab plate see picture below. :-) Should look something like this, preferred to use slotted (flat head) machine screws, unfortunately i had non available, but these dont look bad.
  5. ill second Walter from WTF for the 3 buttons. His abs will match your armor perfectly as well.
  6. Looking great. Love that weathering very gritty.
  7. Walter (WTF) is a great source for the buttons if your kit didn't come with it. Matched well..
  8. Looking good trooper, you will be done in no time.
  9. a little pouch weathering today wile i wait for the new pauldron
  10. Hey Troopers, Figured i should post up my weathering (acrylic oily & dirt /w a twist), im 501st approved already now moving into PO and Swat ASAP. Here is some pictures of the armor. Pauldron is being replaced, waiting on delivery. New MP40 and Spanish weathered.
  11. Awesome thread Terry, i followed this as well, made it easy and armor came out great. PO and Swat here i come
  12. Welcome to the dirty side, looking good trooper.
  13. Thanks its a variation of the "Oily / Dirt" style with acrylics.
  14. Great so far man, coming along :-)
  15. I second the snap strapping system its a very large improvement over the older FX style Velcro system. Here are a few pictures of what i followed during my build, i did make a few modifications to this but this layout is a very good start. I ended up having a grader bet system made for the thigh armor that uses snaps as well, helps keep Them up on long troops. This idea has been awesome the cover strip hides the valcro very well. i also put some valcro on the front top of my boots and the inside front of the calves to keep the shin armor from moving around wile walking or running.
  16. Awesome man, i want to get a pack as well, but since i wont use it for swat not sure what route to go..
