  1. Great, thx - will try to update within the next couple of days. Cheers
  2. Guys, when you have your pictures ready please send them to me. I can put them on our gallery. Cheers
  3. This is a great build bro, thx for sharing. Also the first build with a correctly sized radio!
  4. Excellent job, bro. The only thing that's sticking out for me atm is that your armor is a bit too shiny while your backpack is too dirty. For PO both is okay though. Apart from screen accuracy the weathering looks great and very realistic:) Gesendet von meinem LG-H815 mit Tapatalk

  6. If you scroll futrher down that list you'll also find the SWAT requriements. However it lies in the nature of it that SWAT is not a "recipe" build like centurion over at FISD since you are emulating a specific trooper. This requires a lot of research and the thread in the SWAT program section aims at making the research a bit easier.
  7. 'Shiny' white over weathered. I would say for most this is not something permanently applied but just for the SWAT application. For me the original method with the hooks and eyes works quite well.
  8. Not only accepted but required for SWAT
  9. Hey Troops, many of you have asked us if it would be possible to have some better references or guidelines to becoming SWAT. Well, you asked and we listened so I am happy to announce today our new SWAT overview which contains a list of all troopers in the various scenes, background information and high-res pictures (screenshots as well as behind the scenes). Please bear in mind that this is still a work-in-progress so we'll be adding more details on the various troopers as well as on the weapons and backpacks used. Here's a link to the overview: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/14693-the-mepd-swat-program/ Let us know what you think! On behalf of the SWAT Panel, TD-16080 "Strider"
  10. Move Along Captain Helmet (from Starwarshelmet.com)
  11. Davin Felth ("Look Sir, Droids") Davin Felth was a member of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps during the early years of the Galactic Civil War. A graduate of the elite Imperial Army training program at the Academy of Carida, Felth exposed a potentially critical weakness in the All Terrain Armored Transport design. Rather than rewarding the cadet for his brilliance, Colonel Maximilian Veers buried Felth in the Imperial Army's infantry division to mask the design flaw. Under the designation 1023, Sergeant Felth was assigned to the desert planet Tatooine as part of the Desert Sands sandtrooper detachment, tasked with the recovery of the stolen plans to the first Death Star. Felth discovered in the sands of the Dune Sea the escape pod used to effect the escape of the droids C-3PO and R2-D2 from Imperial forces, the latter of which was attempting to deliver the plans to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Felth later killed his commanding officer, Captain Mod Terrik, after tracking the droids to the Mos Eisley spaceport as part of a reawakening process in which he came to believe the Empire he lived to serve was evil. (Introduction on Davin Felth by starwars.wikia.com). The guys from "Looksirdroids" have done an excellent job identifying Davin Felth (or his gear) in the various scenes >>> http://www.looksirdroids.com/davin_film.htm Below you can find the links to succesful SWAT applications. 12. Cantina Captain/ Alley-Docking Bay 94 Captain V1 Helmet: Armor: In the different scenes we see a lot of armor and backpacks being swapt between different troopers in different scenes. The specific parts can be identifeid by their pecularities, e.g. in case of the sandtrooper captain we see the same dirt pattern also on the armor of the Alleyway Captain but with another weapon and no backpack. Backpack: Weapon: DLT-19 (MG-34) Below you can find the links to succesful SWAT applications. 13. The SWAT program is the one of the toughest in the entire legion. We sandtroopers take pride in trying to achieve the highest accuracy possible to resemble those troopers seen on screen. As the program carries very high standards it will take blood, sweat, and tears to get there, and believe us - all SWAT members have bled... and cried! Since the program started in 2011, 44 SWAT officers have been deployed (at time of press). If you are successful at SWAT you are awarded with a certificate signed by the Commanding Officer, and your deployment poster is hung, in order, on the SWAT wall of fame on the forum. The idea of this thread is not to make an exact guideline or "recipe" on how to become a SWAT Officer but offer potential candidates one single point of all the information he or she needs. Although it appears as if there were numerous TDs In the Mos Eisley scenes, there were actually only 6 troopers and probably just 6 backpacks as well. However, the gear was permantently changed between the different scenes (and sometimes even during the same scene), things were damaged and fixed again, that the impression of a lot more Santroopers was created. Here is a picture of the original 6 troopers which were all played by local Tunisians (except for the roadblock scene where Anthony Forrest played the famous 'Move Along' trooper): This guide is structured as follows; below you can find all scenes in which Sandtroopers appeared in chronological order. Next to the troopers of the respective scene is a link which leads to the reference materials including background story and further links to successful SWAT applications. Please note that this list is by no means exhaustive. There were so many variations of each trooper often accompanied by changes of gear during the same scene that the list below is meant to be as a general guideline. 1. Desert scene ("Look Sir, droids") Troopers appearing in this scene: TD-01 Dewback Rider TD-02 SE Sandtrooper (RotJ armour, different backpack) TD-03 Desert Sergeant (Davin Felth, "Look Sir, droids") >>> http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/14693-the-mepd-swat-program/&do=findComment&comment=185827 TD-04 Desert Captain ("Someone was in the pod") 2. Road block scene ("Move along") Troopers appearing in this scene: TD-05 Road Block Captain V1 ("Move Along") / Pre- and post break version have slight differences >>> http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?/topic/14693-the-mepd-swat-program/&do=findComment&comment=185828 TD-06 Road Block Captain V2 TD-07 Road Block Sergeant TD-08/09/10 Road Block Private (3 troopers. 14. Yes, that would indeed be a nice addition I'm always happy to support with pictures and advice...
  15. Yep, not a completely unusual behavior from RS Props. They have not made a lot of friends among the bikerscout community as well with the constant delays of their bikerscout helmets. However, I would have thought that the TK/TD stuff is running better. Apparently not...
  16. Really good job, bro. And the first one who did it afaik!
  17. Great application, bro - looking forward to this review. Also very nice to see a "not so common" trooper
  18. The problem with the tupperware measures is that they are usually measured from the outer edges. The dimensions above refer to the dimensions on the top which can deviate quite a bit. To examplify: Plus they may not have used tupperware after all. I have a different theory but not enough evidence to lay down my case just yet ;-) Also keep in mind that when you're using a tool box with those dimensions it may look out of proportions next to a radio that does not have the original measures of 24x19cm.
  19. Hehe, I'll do my best Re your question; yes. Although I haven't figured out yet how they attatched the original seed trays. They seem to sit directly on the frame without any metal strips beneath to which they attatch. But this is just me though trying to get it as accurate as possible. You can of course just attatch the aluminium strips on the frame and attatch the seed trays on to them.
  20. The original packs had a bend frame. What I did with my old pack was just a workaround but I would advise on bending it. You can do it fairly easily actually if you turn it around, stand with both feet on where you want the bend to be and slowly start teetering until you've reached the right bend. It's a little hard to explain, I might make a short video on it. Cheers
  21. Hi guys, by my reckoning the tool box on the original pack had dimensions around 21x16x10 (HxWxD). These are roughly the dimensions of the crashman sonix radio (HxW). I'm currently updating my pack as well because a lot of the stuff hadn't had the right dimensions. I will update this thread accordingly then. We don't know yet what the tool box originally was. One theory is that is was a tupperware fresh n cool box but I haven't found one yet that's even close to the measures above. Cheers
  22. Hey Daniel, great to have more fellow tree dodgers coming to Tatooine as well! Your gear looks pretty good already but now it's time to take it on a patrol through the desert Cheers
