  1. All I need is some nice CFO armor and I'll do it! Haha. Now, who wants to buy it for me???
  2. There are so many similarities between this and the Special Edition trooper. I think the biggest differences are the use of the standard Pauldron and the Shoulder pouch. It is also a bit less weathered but it looks like in the game the troopers get dirty during campaigns. So I think any amount of weathering should be passable.
  3. Here are some more screen caps of the Heavy Trooper skin. This is the black pauldron version. Some good shots of the pack too.
  4. The more reference the better! Screenshot away!
  5. Here is an example of the Heavy Trooper details for Tatooine Missions. Still looking for better screenshots, but here is one: Note the grey frown, the tears and traps don't have lines. Looks more like the ANH Sandy bucket. Still has bubble lenses though it seems
  6. Borrowing these images from the link above The armor, like the rest of the imperial troopers in BF2 use ROTJ armor. In the game, when the mission is not on Tatooine, the Troopers wear a black Pauldron, looks to be leather and full sized and not the shorter neoprene looking version that the Sandtoopers wear in the special edition. The Heavy troopers also have a ROTJ bucket for these missions. It looks like in the Tatooine Mission however they are given an Orange Pauldron and the painted details on the helmet match more to ANH's style. So maybe in the CRL we should allow both ANH and ROTJ buckets (like we do for the Magma Trooper) Both version of this trooper wear a MP40 shoulder pouch, which the SE troops do not. The pack is also basically the same as the special edition troopers. Also I love the mud and grime on the boots and shins of some of these troopers!
  7. Hahah. See, higher up the chain. Keeping it simple would make it less confusing, that’s true.
  8. Looking great man! I would also try to throw in a pic of your back without the pack on. Great pack too! My only note would be maybe look for slightly larger bottles, they seem a little thin, but that shouldn't hinder your PO application. Great work and good luck!
  9. I totally agree. An optional accessory is probably the best option.
  10. Excited to have you join up with us when the CRLs get done!
  11. Techincally speaking, the Sandtroopers in ANH are really supposed to be stormtroopers. They are referenced as both Stormtroopers and Sandtrooper in official merchandising. Lucasfilm is not known for their naming convention consitantsy. As someone who works on official Star Wars merch almost everyday, it’s a toss up as to how to name these different troopers. The general idea is that they are all “Stormtroopers” that includes Biker Scouts, Snowtroopers, and Sandtroopers. They just change up their unifom for their environment, but they are all still regular Stormtroopers. I dont see see why both detachments can’t have the pack. Also, with the MEPD having that trooper you are able to essentially have two detachment approvals with one costume. Just slap on the pack over your R1 armor, add a pauldron and boom, you get to have a TD designation as well as your TK. Currently the MEPD has 2 approved CRLs for the first time since the detachment was founded almost 18 years ago. We are trying to expand and get away from being the “one CRL detachment”. We have 2 more CRLs in the works, including the Jedha troopers (both packs). We are going through a small transition and trying to expand the detachment to have the specialized, deployed Stormtroopers with gear fall under the MEPD. The FISD and MEPD have spent the last year working this out. This is more of a discussion for those higher up the chain than me. But those are my 2 cents. I for one and very happy that the MEPD and FISD can work together on this. We share many members as it is. In the end we are all plastic spacemen just having fun and trying to make kids happy.
  12. Its officially approved as of this morning. Basically I think we are just waiting on someone to update and add it to the MEPD section.
  13. Also, last I checked this CRL hasn't been officially published. So you may need to wait until it pops up here: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:MEPD_CRL
  14. That is a great question. I am not 100% sure. I bet someone with a few approved costumes could chime in. I think you need to submit to your Garrisons GML. It will be taken care of on the Legion level and then it can be approved here.
  15. So awesome. Great work and attention to detail. You'll get your approval in no time! Welcome (Officially!) to the ranks of the MEPD!
  16. Yea Central Florida! So sad I had to miss that parade this year. Next year I will 100% be there!
  17. Keep it up! This is turning out so cool. Now I want to build a R1 Trooper! Stupid money and other projects getting in the way. I will live vicariously though this build thread lol
  18. Let’s get a patrol together! Central Florida represent!
