  1. 1. I am not sure what it is but it looks similar to what @gino had on his newest pack to hold his capacitors. 2. I think that may be part of the backpack strap. I could be wrong. 3. Those rings are used to hold the pack straps on a karrimor frame. 4. If you can see it on screen it is accepted in the CRL for packs! In fact that detail would be absolutely required for SWAT hope that kind of helps. I’m very curious about #1
  2. That’s amazing! I love this community. I’m glad everyone can come together to support a fellow trooper. Makes me so proud to be part of this detachment
  3. Wooo! She’s here! She’s on the forums! lets get that armor done!
  4. I think that’s a great alternative. Looks pretty good!
  5. This is how I'm modding my UP100. just shorten it a couple CMs Now All I need to do is figure out what to do with this part:
  6. I heard a rumor that Mos Eisley may be making a cameo...who knows if thats true but if it is I hope we see some Sandys or at least a dewback!
  7. Depends on the pack. The move along pack is definitely the UP90, but the 100 can be modified to the same height as the 90 pretty easily.
  8. Thanks! @birthdaydino and I are hoping to have everything strapped and ready for weathering this weekend. We get the pauldron in hopefully by Monday. Approval pics will be sent next week! Getting close!
  9. Nice! Just saw that in my saved searches! Which one of you guys will get it??? @RoCKo????
  10. Hey @birthdaydino wanna chime in! This is all you! Welcome to the forums!
  11. Welcome Shaun! Looking forward to your build!
  12. Hey man! I was following your build on Facebook, really amazing work as per usual! No worries about personal stuff. Real life is always more important than plastic life. Thanks for all that you have done for this community. You helped step up the accuracy game to a whole new level!
  13. Haha Yea I thought about that. Could be an interesting conversation piece in my house. "oh that, yea thats just a vintage canteen and toilet siphon, pretty rare" I'm excited to have a vintage build, but at this point it will never leave my house lol! Luckily now I can build two packs, the second one will be getting the lionstar for sure. Plus I now have the RWA siphon, older seed trays (not accurate but I will use what I have) Older vaccuformed mushroom caps, the beginnings of a 3d printed radio, another karrimor frame with the squared bottom, a spare Brexton box. I guess I've been a backpack part hoarder for the last year. lol
  14. That sucks. I have been there though. I have always had problems with UPs coming from the UK to the US. I have had many items delayed by a week or two (one over a month...). But I have never had anything lost. I wouldn't count it as lost quite yet. It will probably turn up, sometimes without even updating on your tracking (which is super annoying). I would keep an eye out on your tracking for the next couple weeks, hopefully it shows up long before that. Shipping a large item from overseas can be a nightmare sometimes. My last UPS item from the UK was delayed due to "hazardous materials" (it was abs plastic...sigh). Sadly a lot of patience is required with this stuff especially when it comes to shipping from across the pond. Hoping for the best and hope it comes soon!
  15. Well you joined the right place for pouches and pauldrons! I recommend Trooper1 pauldrons here on the MEPD forums, also Trooperbay makes a good pauldron. Blaster 8266 makes great pouches (also on the forums). You can also find other pouches on eBay and trooperbay too. Right now the only vendor I know of that makes these packs is Crookknight. Sadly there is an age restriction for the legion. You do have to be 18 years old to join the legion. Once you turn 18 though you should join up! Have you checked out Galactic Academy? Its our sister organization for younger costumers. But definitely checkout the rest of the forum, research as much as you can. Feel free to ask any questions. Its a great community here and we are always willing to help out or give some pointers.
  16. No CRL yet! We just need a CRL model...wanna volunteer??????
  17. Yesterday we cut down more pieces, especially the chest so she could move her arms. Took off about an inch and half total. Also we reshaped the forearms, kidney, posterior and abdomen with hot water. We used our sous vide to keep the water a little under boiling. The method worked so well. Much easier to control than a heat gun. I'm doing this method from now on. Just dipped it in the pot for a few seconds, shaped it and put it in the sink with some cold water to set it. Worked like a charm. You can really see the difference on the forearms. Heres a before (on the right) and after (on the left) Rounded them out using a 2 1/2" pipe I was originally going to use for my pack. Did a test fit, its looking pretty great now. Trimmed down the shoulder bells a little more for more mobility. Same with the thighs, they had to come in another 3/4" of an inch. The belt needs work too, ultimately we should replace it with a good belt and not the crappy anovos supplied belt, but it will do for now. Still need to finish up the shins later tonight but its about ready to start gluing it all and strapping! Woo!
  18. Thanks Todd! Looking forward to working together this year!
  19. I think he has a sales thread in the for sale section!
  20. Went to a armor party today and we got a lot done. We are more or less done trimming. Still need to reshape the kidney/butt and the forearms. Trying out boiling water first to heat and bend. Here are some pictures. As you can see we had to trim off 1/2-1" off of several pieces. Her forearms had to be shortened quite a bit to fit her.
  21. Also still need some vintage seed trays, but the ones from Woodman will do just fine for now!
