  1. EDIT: Ok i did some searching and found 2 different ways to mount the scope rail. But i would like to know what was the more commonly seen/used way it is mounted. Was it the one directly riveted to the tube or the rear sight??. I would like to do this accurate to the numbers on film so to speak.
  2. I almost forgot. For those who don't know.... elmers carpenters wood filler is a great alternative to bondo, lol.
  3. Ok, heres what i did for the hasbro scope.I used my dremel and cut off the speaker box/power cylinder section,Cut some small strips from a for sale sign, heat bent them to fit the inner curve of the scope and glued them in with GOOP.I then sat and globbed on bondo, having sanded it smooth to the shape.I also had cut small rectangles and built up the sides of the mounting areas. For the front lens area, i used a nerf dart suction cup, glued with goop, then i cut off the suction cup leaving the base, followed by drilling out the middle of it. More to come, lol.
  4. Ok, so i got started on my blaster build the other day.I started with a hasbro blaster...it got whacked.Soooo i salvaged some of the small parts from it and incorporated them into a pvc build, using resin parts as well.I followed mostly the BBC plans and i'm still working on it.Any advice, ideas, criticism good or bad y'all?.This being my first ever blaster build,i look up to all those here whom have done this before me,lol. The front/back sites, and scope (hasbro). The grip made with wood (inner)w/plastic from a for sale sign.plus resin parts aquired from a member at FISD.
  5. 450 for an original pouch?!.Ouch thats waaaay too much.I have an original pouch set that i use for my ww2 reenacting hobby and i paid 75 for both a year ago.I use em for living history displays only never for battle reenactments. The repro pouches from IMA are the best quality repros out there that i know of.And any would be TD is better off with these. If anything chopping up an original would be crazy and kill the collector value
  6. Oh ,thats right, i fergot about that. If anything someone should grab it ,and reproduce the parts for more kits(ducking).BUT..... I know it would be wrong to do so w/o mr pepin's permission.Come to think of it.Did anyone ever ask him if he was selling or if he destroyed the molds???
  7. GRAB IT ! Quick!,lol. I was trying to save for one of those kits when they were available....now no longer made. The maker has retired from the hobby and moved on to more religeous efforts. Come to think of it,i wonder if they still have the molds or destroyed 'em???
  8. Wow, i am actually surprised about this . Cushman used to be so quick in all areas of service. I never had any trouble, granted i waited almost a month . However he shoulda posted if anything was going on that would delay anything on his site or through any emails.I do know however, things get seriously delayed due to orders made by the paintball and airsoft crowds .A good example is that invasion of normandy(paintball ) event over here in PA,thats coming up soon if i'm correct.I ordered around that time ,thus the month wait.Oh well
  9. Hey Zon, i see what ya mean. Those are from releasing from the mold.I had those present on an ammo drum kit i got from cushman for my mg-42 replica. Strips of thin plastic or scrap from the kit ,Bondo and Amazing GOOP(plumbers version) will do the job nicely for a good fix up. I use goop for almost all that i build.Lol I have actually seen some nice builds out of these kits ,so give it a shot and see where it takes ya.
  10. Ok, so, out of curiosity, could you post a pic of this cushman kit please??. I have their mg-34 ver.2. It's actually not too bad, though few of the details are soft. I like it.It had come with alot of splits due to being hard to remove from the mold,so they make cuts in order to remove them without ruining the mold itself. I was thinking of getting their e-11, but if there are cracks(not the typical split cuts).I'll stick to other makers.
  11. Yeah, it's a shame that happened too much. Now with the news of it for sale ,i'm sure the new owners(if any) will get even more unwanted attention by the spooky seekers and movie nuts...er fans.
  12. Agreed, aside from having a bad past situation, this house is a veritable landmark made famous. It really isnt a bad house either and the neighborhood is actually really nice.
  13. gee.....this house looks nice,lol. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/amityville_horror_house_up_for_sale_6os0WWy1qXG2e0hUY5MhMO?CMP=OTC-rss&FEEDNAME=
  14. That would be this: http://www.blast-tech.com/home.asp
  15. "Been there,done that" . Pepto Bismol...gooood frieeend,lol.
  16. I was reading the local paper and found this.Makes me very angry and sad that someone had done this. http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100505/NEWS/100509935
  17. LOL. Heck if i wanna use colorful language, without trouble i just go to my cousin (whos scottish brogue is amazingly rough). He gets so mad sometimes he literally creates curse words on a daily basis.can't understand a word of it, but sounds hilarious when he does.(Example) He called me a "Bled-metherin jegadite",once......god only knows what da heck that is
  18. Hey all, My question is this: I know that most if not all troopers go to a U.K. source or two for brow and neck trim but, Is or was there a major supplier for these here in the states??. If not i was thinking of maybe .. taking a crazy step to actually make a mold of these items and make 'em in bulk since i have a HUGE amount of time on my hands. I was thinking it might be easier for those whom have or had issues with customs/mail in the past.plus it might be easier on the wallet so to speak.(I'm a Poor man meself),lol.Just a thought is all
  19. WOW Having seen this project , i can officialy say(The noob that i am), That i'm mad jealous of your skills, lol. This shows that i got a lot of work ahead of me once i get my hands on a set of armor." I'm getting bit by the builders bug",lol.
  20. Canon...non-canon......"Why not just call things "farby" like we military reenactors call a non authentic impression??. Technically we are Re-creating a character, are we not???.Lol Farby definition: FAR BE it from authentic.....LOL

  21. Taking in all there is to learn from the experts here, lol.

  22. Hey there, I have an mg-34 and an mg-42 from them. Yes it does take a while sometimes, mostly cause they are popular with the paintball and airsoft crowds, so its more likely they are trying to complete numerous orders that have been made. Could be they really are outta materials and are sourcing out what they need to get things done.I would give 'em a little more time and have some faith. Email them and remind them when ya made the orders of course and that you would apreciate a possible time for shipment .I recall it took awhile for me to get my 42(a little longer than your own current wait time). But i gave them the benefit of the doubt and i got my stuff. So don't worry, i'm sure they will pull through
