  1. I then I started on forearms. I tried to keep them all together but ended up having to do them clamshell style
  2. Starting to make some progress and fitting wearable part together.
  3. Finished product next to initial attempt at weathering
  4. I had a template so I tried to make my own paldron. /URL]
  5. Price one up for shipping to New Brunswick, Canada please
  6. Ive documented via pics pretty much the whole build. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to upload any more pics. The suit is done and now awaiting basic aproval. I've had to readjust my shoulder straps to get everything higher on my chest. I had too much black showing up top. I had special permission to join my local 501st brothers as there only a couple in this area, to go onstage with Weird Al Yancovic last night. What a truly amazing experience. I cannot wait to attend further functions. Here is a video of the part we did. And yes that was me Al put his head on. https://youtu.be/1BONfoH2c1s
  7. I know many people make thier forearms clamshell style like the calves. Mine are. Had to. Otherwise the wrist opening would have been large enough to swallow a small car
  8. Awesome. Thank you sooooooo much. Time to go sort and pick up some goodies, get building, and get dirty!
  9. Where would one find the templates for the t21 of pandatrooper's?
  10. Clean? Rub with dry sand. That will clean it.
  11. Ive noticed this too. I'm currently adding shims to mine. The CRL states preference of no to 1/2" gap.
  12. Found my measurements. Got my chest and back, bells and biceps done. I now am takling forearms. I am having an issue with size. Is it acceptable to have 1 joint closed with velcro? Or do they both HAVE to be glued. The reason I'm asking is because in order for me to make it so I can slide it on, the wrist opening is huge. Then I have the problem of the elbow end really tight on my arm. I may be able to tear them apart and taper the joint more to give more room, but I'd like to know about the velcro first before I do this.
  13. LePage super glue. A thin bead around perimeter of the hand guard. And make sure it's placed right. Dries fast
  14. Don't forget rare earth magnets. You will find they are extremly helpful when clamping longer pieces and a clamp just won't reach.
  15. I'm about ready to start putting pieces together permanently. I had a page tagged somewhere that I now can't find the detailed what snaps/clips/split rivits etc to use where along with what size strapping/elastic to use and where. I have 1 1/2" woven ribbed elastic for the shoulders. I was wondering if sombody could let me know a good spot to get this info. I am aiming for SWAT right out of the gate to do I don't have to make many changes down the road. Currently also waiting for for my shipment to come from trooper bay with some goodies and I'm expecting my boots from imperial boots this week or early next week.
  16. Nice job. Can't wait until I am ready to submit my Sandy.
  17. I have been busy but have had time to do a little work. Here is some pics so far.
  18. Work is processing. I have to convert the pictures as the files are way to huge to upload here
  19. An FYI. I just received my AP kit on Friday. It was estimated 6 week wait. It was exactly 4 weeks. Communication was excellent. I paid initial deposit, a few days later, I got an email that they recieved the material. 2 weeks later I got am email stating it was ready. ( trimmed kits would be a little bit longer. Mine was untrimed ) I paid remainder and a couple days later I received the tracking # then it showed up at the house. Top notch service all the way.
  20. I think I'm going to go for the "look sir, droids" trooper
  21. Lol. I blame my auto correct all the time though I think somtimes it's big finger syndrome
  22. My "Big Brown Box" arrived yesterday from Authentic Props and im ready to begin my journey into construction of my own Sandtrooper. hopfully im in the right spot for documenting the build. I will have lots of questions and I would rather ask 3 times than make 1 catastrophic mistake.
