  1. Thanks, Nick. Just asking because yeah it seems like a hard part to source, and not all the movie packs were the same -- some were missing a part here or there. I'm seeing a lot of faucet covers on eBay but I'm also reading from a lot of folks on here getting burned buying what they think is the oval-ish shaped one and getting the cone one delivered. I'll look for a fridge jug or something like that. Thanks!
  2. Can I get MEPD approved (not SWAT) without the faucet cover/stinger?
  3. Perfect. Thanks. Will try to find that.
  4. What do folks use for the 2" tube on the right side of the pack? I picked up a 10' section of 2" diameter PVC at Home Depot but the stuff is heavy! It's schedule 40 stuff. Any abundant alternatives? Thanks
  5. Hello fellow troopers! I've just secured TD20290.com, ported my blog posts over to it, and then finished up the last couple posts taking it all the way to the end of the armor build. Posting a link to it here in case it is of help to anyone still building their armor or just looking into building armor: http://td20290.com/
  6. Thanks Felix - No, no straps attaching the forearms to the biceps. I put high density foam in the forearms so wherever I pull them up to they'll stay rock solid. I just need to pull them up higher. I wondered about that so thanks for the feedback. The forearms seemed to get in the way of the hand plates so that explains it. Thanks!
  7. Thanks everyone! Not sure what I'll do with my time now that it's done! I guess troop a lot! (my wife would say finally get work done around the house)
  8. Hello all - I'd be interested in feedback from the dirty experts here on my pretty much finished-up TD. I don't have a pack yet. Will probably pull the trigger on that, hopefully in the near future. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!
  9. Thanks Brian. Here to help if you have any questions. Terry's template makes it a manageable project!
  10. Thanks Brian! Yeah I'm just trimming away on the appendages. Pretty much done with arms and legs. Getting to the ab/ back and will likely have questions. I'll pm you...
  11. Thanks Seann! Assuming that's you in your signature it looks like you've got a nice T21 yourself. And yeah, these scratch gun builds are fun projects. Much more forgiving than the plastic for a TD!
  12. Thanks Geoff! And yeah - reach out any time. Happy to provide perspective for how it worked for me.
  13. Thanks Andrew! It was definitely a fun build. I asked my wife if I could carry it on our evening walk tonight. She said no :-)
  14. Hello friends, I'm still slowly working on my TD. But got some momentum on the T21 so I finished that up first. A million thanks to those who posted their process and progress because I couldn't have done it without you. I used Terry's cutting template and Anthony's electronics and lots of ideas and tips from others on the boards. Here's the finished product: And here is the detailed build process in 4 parts: Part 1: http://blog.panzainteractive.com/?p=56 Part 2: http://blog.panzainteractive.com/?p=74 Part 3: http://blog.panzainteractive.com/?p=114 Part 4: http://blog.panzainteractive.com/?p=136 Hopefully this documentation can be of help to anyone coming after me!
  15. Thanks. I actually ended up sending MTK my money a couple weeks ago. I assume the box will be here soon. I'm 5'9" and 160 lbs so I figured MTK is the way to go.
  16. Hello all - I'm ready to begin the electronics on my T21 but I'm a little stumped on how to begin the trigger installation. Do I just start hacking away at the wood and find a way to fill it in later? Does anyone have reference pictures for how to do this? Thanks! Ben
  17. Thanks everyone. I'm slowly piecing together the history of the different kits and pros and cons and such. Will continue doing my homework.
  18. Yes, appears to be the same guy. Know anything about this armor?
  19. Hmmm... Not sure what you mean. I've been emailing back and forth with this guy about possibly getting his armor.
  20. Btw photos of his product are here: http://mytkarmor.com/
  21. Hello everyone - Newb here - I see on the "Where to get stuff" thread on this board (here: http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=4255) mention of someone referred to as "AM" with an email address of troopersupplies@hotmail.com Can anyone provide a review of AM's armor? Good stuff? Thanks!
  22. Oops! I just found it in the "Training" post. Thanks!
  23. Hello everyone, I am BRAND NEW to exploring building a sand trooper. I don't expect to be able to dive in in the next week or two, but hopefully in the coming months I can start the journey. I'm looking for a post for how to start with the sand trooper similar to what I see on FISD: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/ Does anyone know if this forum has an equivalent post for sand troopers or did many of you start with the above resources and just add dirt? Thanks for any help - Ben
