  1. Awesome pix man. Looks like you had a blast. Rig is looking good for sure.
  2. Sorry for your loss Mark. Prayers for you during this tough time. I will always remember you were one of the first brothers to welcome me when I joined. Your sand brothers stand with you.

  4. Congrats James. Your rig looks great.
  5. Not saying you need to take yours off. Just letting you know what I did. I also sanded mine with a sanding block to lighten mine up. I also wet sanded mine to lighten it up but this isn't recommended. Again not telling you this is what you should do. Just throwing you some ideas. I learned by trial and error. More error lol.
  6. Anthony I just finished up my weathering as well. Wasn't as easy as it looked. I weathered mine and took it off like four times lol. I never could find the right color that I was looking for. Finally I read Rolf's post where he tried everything and the best color was raw umber. I diluted my down with water in a bottle and went that route. I liked how mine turned out. Hope this helps. I took mine off with water and isopropyl alcohol. If you use alcohol don't got any higher than 70%. Great pics from the parade BTW.
  7. Looking good man. I had a hard time messing with my weathering as well. Not as easy as it seems. Great job.
  8. Jason you got me. Had me going nuts lol. These are the biceps we were looking for lol.
  9. Rolf thanks so much. That means a lot. I loved the way your rig looked. I read a lot about weathering. I saw where you tried it all and concluded Raw umber was key. I wanted less is more but came out more is more lol. I'm happy with the look. Thanks Rolf
  10. Thank you Luis. That means a lot coming from you sir.
  11. Jason I based the arms from this pic. The squared off one goes on the right. Is this not right?
  12. Thanks Jason. Thanks for all your help along the way. Waiting now to get my TD #.
  13. Yes Sir, Got me a Dirty Boy kit. Working on it now..... Hope to have it done soon.
  14. Thanks Chris. My GML wanted me to get it dirty lol. First time was to light. Outside in sunlight it really lightens up.
  15. Ok here is what I got now. What do you guys think?
  16. Thanks guys working on it now. The wet sanding works!!!!!! Bought imperial brand 600 lol!!!!!! Looking good I think. I'll post pics later to show the changes.
  17. Thanks Trooper. I'm lighting it up some now. Don't want to be pig pin. Lol
  18. Wanted to get some input. I have weathered this rig like four times and took it all off. Starting to feel like I have no clue lol. I weathered it using less is more with grays and tans. My GML said it was to light. He wants to see more detail in the cracks and crannys. So I went full on Rolf and used only raw umber. I'm pretty happy with it..... But have a nagging thought legs are to dark and not liking butt kidney area. Please help with input if you can.help out a lost trooper lol. Here are pics keep in mind it's outside in full sunlight.
  19. Congrats! Great job man. Hope to join you soon. Take some pics at your troop.
