  1. My unit affiliation is MEPD (retired)???
  2. Work towards Police Officer deployment first though. As Scribbler said, you might end up having to undo some of the work you've done. One step at a time mate :-)
  3. Yep, bit of a return edge is fine mate
  4. Welcome aboard mate. Which trooper are you going to be going for with your SWAT build?
  5. Everything I was going to say has been said already basically haha. Looking excellent Vince, I'd say you're with in sniffing distance. Just keep building up light passes, and try and get the base colour reasonably even over the whole thing. Don't want to put it all on to find your chest & ab is a totally different shade to your arms. Of course the chest patterns & other bits have to match the film, but also think your armour is meant to have been worn every single day in the searing heat of Mos Eisley. Beaten by the sand so hard you wouldn't be able to get it to shine white again even if you tried!
  6. I'd give it a couple more passes with a lighter colour. Try watering down some light tan or beige acrylic and dabbing it all over with a sponge, then dab it off again with a dry sponge. Should give you a nice aged look & soften the contrast between the heavy weathering & the white armour. Maybe even mix a little sand in with your paint?
  7. That's not a bad idea, just to get the general layout right. Obviously don't trace the pattern on, but it'll help with marking the positions & making sure you don't miss anything
  8. The only thing you need to keep in mind is match it to the screen used armour as closely as you can. That's the main thing, and the ultimate goal in the first place. It looks good to me though mate. Maybe just a few tweaks, but otherwise you've pretty much got it.
  9. You're starting to make me look bad Vince ;-) going to have to up my game at this rate
  10. Great work on the thigh reshaping too. Your left thigh looks as though it could use a touch more dirt. There's a bit of a clean spot ;-)
  11. This is coming along really really well mate. Loving the helmet mods.
  12. It might even be worth getting in touch with TM or RS & getting new thighs if need be.
  13. Well, I would make the thigh shape a bit more screen accurate, like this... ...but it's really for Scribbler to say, not me
  14. Like Pete said, great to see some full shots. Looking good mate.
  15. Drop either of them a line though and I'm sure they'll sort you out with the parts you need.
  16. Vince, with the radio dial, if you cut out a piece of clear plastic & stick it over the top, it gives a really nice finish to the radio. Stops it from looking quite so much like a sticker. I cut mine a little bigger than the decal so that it sits a bit further away to give it more depth. Just clear plastic from some packaging will do mate.
  17. Also want to say thanks to all the Brittania Patrol for being such a great bunch of lads. They've really made me feel part of the team since joining and I'm proud to be part of their ranks.
  18. Amazing!!! Thanks chaps, I'm so chuffed. What a marvellous thing to wake up to. I feel genuinely honoured to have been given this :-)
  19. Thanks for the feedback. I shall get on that immediately :-)
