Yea brother as Beren said, I am building my NE kit and its taking very long... so sand the underside of the cover strip, sand the side of the piece that you are gluing the strip into... add the E6000 in good amounts and clamp/magnet/tape together let sit for 12-24 hours and it holds. its patience man otherwise the other piece split apart and don't hold to well...
