  2. great stuff Craig!! you just have to change the biceps...the finger print is on the left side;-)
  3. As Juan said, you will find HD references at looksirdroids. Also here http://www.whitearmo...eferenceGallery (really the same as at looksirdroids) You will also find very good references in the SWAT buidling area...not in HD but sometimes with new details and in combination with the conversion. Have fun!!!
  4. Hey sis and bros, i posted this thread yesterday in the fisd. Yes i know, this is not a TD build but this is just an example why we are in the 501st....now the story and the pics my friends...enjoy! OpiWan and myself like to introduce our project. But before we start with the picture story we like to write something about the history… I found a TK sale thread in the external german garrison forum. The person wrote something about that she/he can’t complete the build of the kit. She/he started 2010 but just finished some trimmings. It sound curious so i wrote a pm and asked why she/he selling the kit (it was a PT kit). After a couple of days i got the replay: she is girl from vienna and a big star wars fan. Her marriage was supported by 2 imperial guards and her big dream was and is to have a Stormtrooper. But she became ill…her doc diagnosed Multiple sclerosis (for more information look here http://en.wikipedia....tiple_sclerosis). From time to time she got the typical symptomse and she wasn’t able to finish (or even to start) the armor. So she terminated her dream and tried to sold her kit. For OpiWan and myself it was clear that no desease has the power to stop dreams! We offered her to build her armor in that way that she can wear it and become part of the 501st. After some pm’s she agreed and sent the kit from vienna to frankfurt. We also needed her measurements because the distance for the fitting is a little bit too farJ (round about 720km or 447 miles). That’s the whole story and a great experiance for all…but now some pictures The package arrived (also a brown box;-) ) Really nice: two buckets for two versions:-) the bucket is finished...tried to build and paint accurate now the torso and here in the tantative style both buckets...one ANH the other ESB Why ESB too???? We also have two handguard versions:-) ...sadly without rubber cloves My wife did the belt Some strapping pics and for different sizes My first dropbox build:-) (i'm one of the dirty ones) The last pic before shipping... And now back into the real brown box...that brings back memories when this box arrived to me... THE IMPERIAL POST OFFICE WANTS YOU! Now, we all waiting for some pics of a happy girl in her dream....(pics follow) so long....move along
  5. In your first live you were an archaeologist, right? I'm speechless.....
  6. Congrats Neil!!! And in 2016 we want to see your offspring for the mepd
  7. Tahnks to OpiWan because he was the first who posted his Bapty build here in the forum!! this is my first one...with the wooden magazine The only "original" thing is the hengstler with 5 numbers. The "problem" of this version is, you just have one picture of the left side. So you have to interpret the right side. Ok, every SWAT have to interpret his armor, so it doesn't matter. To build a Bapty is really a lot of fun my friend!!!!! I think i can start my thread at weekend of the second one.......
  8. Here my thoughts: to 1: both variations are accurate, so i decided to build both ;-) (the wooden one is finished) to 2: yes, just 4 digits on the counter. The problem is, that this version is very rare to 3: without reticle to 4: for me both variations are accurate The bapty from the star wars chronicals and from the propstore are the only detailed references. I can't find any detailed reference shots in the movie. So, if you plan tu build a bapty, you have 2 versions for your selection:-) so build two
  9. Both YES! Here you find everything you need for your build... http://www.propstore...rooper-blaster/ I tried to bend the steale scope rail (yes, it was steal, not aluminium) but i had no chance to get the curves i needed. Enjoy my friend!
  10. Yep Daniel because my first is the wooden version. My version is the restored bapty from the propstore...this one is a little bit different, specially the used look (like Alex one)
  11. Mine is finished:-p I have to modify my scope ....the doopy scope isn't that i want and my target is, to built a bupty without any original parts (ok...just the hengstler:-D)
  12. Don't remember me Alex!!!!!!!! BUT: i try to come on friday....just one day but better than none....
  13. I love the bapty! i know just 2 versions and a made a comparison (just of the left side of the blaster between the wooden magazine bapty and the original magazine) and i marked some details of the 'propstore' bapty (this version is already in progress;-) ) i hope it helps....
  14. Yeah...my next wall-tattoo:-) But i think, the letters on the left side were pretty much ok...otherwise...this is not the last shot of 'Band of Brothers'
