  1. You probably all heard that I had a small slip in my recovery and this unfortunately resulted in two members not getting their products in the timeline promised. I want to let all who are interested now that I am back at 100% health and ready to take these on. All time lines will be met and all orders will be treated as priority. My only regret in all of this is that two orders had to wait too long for their MGs to arrive. Sorry is not a strong enough word for me to use in this matter. Again, I am ready for more orders and I will not have any other issues to deal with. If this delay has made any one wary of dealing with me, I understand. This is what it is and i will understand your concern. If not, I appreciate the faith and I look forward to hearing from you. Keep it sandy. Mike.
  2. Okay, four people asked about these things. I got one confirmed, two future purchases, and I seem to be missing the fourth one to respond to! If you are reading this, please PM me and let me know if I need to work on one of these or two. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for all the support and well wishes! I think I'm back in the game and ready to do some projects. Hit me with a PM if you want one. Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. I appreciate you all.
  4. Just thought I would do a "blanket statement" to help cover it all. For those that have asked about the MG-15 that I make, thanks for thinking of me. I would love nothing more than to make one of these for a fellow TD. Unfortunately, I must go to the hospital on Thursday, October 2nd to have a shunt placed into my brain. It is a follow-up procedure to a cyst removal in 2006. Smaller procedure as well as smaller recovery(according to the doctor!). I will be more than happy to make these when I am back on my feet and ready to take on a project. I will inform all of you the moment I have reached this point. If you are still interested, thanks for your patience as well as your understanding. If not, I apologize for not being able to deliver and I hope you find the BFG you want. Wish me luck and , again, thanks for everything. Remember: Sandtroopers do it on a Dewback!!
  5. Sounds good. I've been to 409's site before. He's the one that got me interested in TD in the first place. I used his site to make my first pack when I first found out about costuming. It was the first project I ever made. I didn't do too good of a job on it. The tubs were too big, I used frezer mugs w/ water in them in place of the normal bottles, and the radio plate was a nightmare. Maybe now that I have been at this fo a few years, I can use some stuff from his site as well as the info here on this site to make a pack that is worthy enough to see the light of day! Thanks to all and I think I got enough to start on this project. As usual, you guys were a big help. Again.
  6. That's a good start! Thanks for the help. That initial measurement will help me scale everything else on the pack. Was it you or TK-1536 that had the vacuformed radio boxes? Or was it neither of you? Let me know about those if you have any info on them. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
  7. Okay, I've looked around at previous posts and I now ask all of you. Is there a tutorial for a home-made pack on this site? I see the tutorial for making a pack with the vacuformed pieces that I think are available to buy(?).Seems to be a tutorial for those that have both home-made items as well as the vacuformed parts made by another forum user. Are these pieces still around for purchase? If so, from whom? I don't mind making one from scratch by looking at screen captures and then using household items. What I do need is sizes and dimensions for all of it so I get it right. Like, How big is the radio box? How big is the speaker?the knobs? etc. I made one before and it was awful! Just want to make sure that I do it right this time. Thanks for the help.
  8. Can some one PM me or direct me to a link for the canon field back packs I see here on the forums? I've made a few out of plastic tubs and stuff, but I want to find a really screen accurate pack for my TD armor that I'm doing now. Thanks!
  9. Oh!,you were talking to him. My fault, sorry! Arson, try TK409. He's got a ton of screen pics of the gun and pics of the actual one used. For example:http://www.tk409.com/images/mg15_measurements.jpg He even has a link to Braks Buddy about actual scope castings. He has everything you would need to make a screen accurate MG-15. Good luck. Keep those pics coming.
  10. Sorry, were you talking to me? If so, yes I will be selling those now. If you need one, let me know. Later.
  11. Here's my MG-15. All pieces and parts and some good old PVC! I don't know if I can say this. If not, edit this post, but... I sell these too if any one is interested.[/img]
  12. Sorry, but I have to defend the Cushman MG-34. Soft detail?-Yes. Fragile?-No. As stated before, it is "a kit." It's like a car model. In pieces and unassembled, it looks like crap. Put a bit of effort, detail, and some TLC into it and it rocks. Rivets and screws are a must and the expandable foam is great at adding rigidity and durability. Drop it all you want and it's ready for more. You get into this what you put into it. If you can make one from scratch that looks just like it, then just imagine what you could do with something that already looks like the MG. Try it. You'll be suprised. Just my two cents. Thanks for the time.
