The rest of the links are individual pics. Thanks for the time of critiquing the armor and thanks to all the troops who have assisted me to prepare for this submission. I welcome any and all comments. Enjoy the photos! Sheldon "Archangel" TD 0192
  2. Heck ya! TD approval by 501st. Now for the big hurdle! Deployment submission tomorrow! Hope all goes well!
  3. I fixed that. Thanks for the word though. I didnt realize that it was supposed to directly under the rectangular box on the ab. I moved it this afternoon. Hoping I can submit soon.
  4. Submitted for 501st approval last night. Heard from my GML and with Juans ok I will be submitting for deployment today hopefully. Fingers crossed. :td:
  5. Well here is the first pictures of the full set of armor minus my hip pouches. I am waiting for them to arrive on Friday. Let me know what you guys think! http://i1173.photobu...192/submit4.jpg http://i1173.photobu...192/submit3.jpg http://i1173.photobu...192/submit2.jpg http://i1173.photobu...192/submit1.jpg http://i1173.photobu...192/submit6.jpg
  6. Thank you! I was a little concerned I screwed it up!
  7. Pictures of the weathering. I have completed the weathering and will be submitting for 501st approval tonight, Some of the lighting does not do the weathering justice but it will give an idea at least. Hope I did ok. http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final6.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final5.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final4.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final3.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final2.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final1.jpg http://i1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/final7.jpg I look forward to your thoughts and comments.
  8. The little girl was born at 1:49pm This is my brothers first child! welcome little trooper.
  9. I would like to tell everyone brother Brendon Ewers who is a member of the Star Garrison is welcoming his new daughter today. His wife is in labor and it is his first child! He is eagerly anticipating her arrival as we all are. Just wanted to take a moment and share this awesome news with all the troops! Congratulations Brendon and Maria! Welcome little Gretchen!
  10. the weathering is definitely the best part! it looks awesome!
  11. I did the same as you for my first lid and my new lid. I just cut them out to the sahpe of the eye openings and used hot glue just around the edge. Make sure you scuff the inside of the lid first where you plan on gluing.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion! I may have found something right near my house. Not fullers Earth but possibly similar. One of them has flecks of green so that is not the one but they do have a second one. A little lighter that tan. I was told possibly Off white or like a bone color. We shall see.
  13. The frustrating part is that I only need a small amount. I will see if there are any train retailers near me. I havent heard of any but then again I havent specifically looked. Thanks
  14. Does anyone know where I can get some more of the fullers earth sand color? I originally ordered from Trooperbay and they are out of stock. I have my calves and thighs to complete and the armor is done. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Help?
  15. As Dirty Boy stated "Brothers Helping Brothers" No problem! Glad I can help! I will try and get the pipe out to you tomorrow!
  16. I have approximately 36" of black abs pipe after I cut my piece off. I would be happy to help you out. I have my section so therefore the remaining piece is going to do nothing but lay around the house and get in the way. Let me know if interested.
  17. I agree. It has a gritty feel to it. I am surprised at how easy it was after I did a practice piece. Did the entire upper body in a couple hours. Just waiting on A.L.I.C.E straps for the back pack and a little more sand colored fullers to get here so I can finish the last couple of pieces. The end is getting so close I can almost taste it. Hmmm a bit gritty!
  18. Thanks for the thumbs up! I find that the weathering has become my favorite part of this whole process! The whole set of armor should be done by next week hopefully!
  19. Updated pictures of the upper body completed. I am wearing the entire upper section minus the back pack. I welcome all comments good or bad! http://s1173.photobucket.com/albums/r592/archangel192/
  20. Thanks for the thumbs up! I have been using fullers earth. I considered acrylic paints although I liked the thought of the fullers. Gives it a gritty apperance up close. I will break up the chest armor and darken some of the areas. More pictures tomorrow. Thanks
  21. My first attempt at weathering. I would appreciate any feedback. I ask you be brutally honest.
  22. Well I have three more photos that I finally was able to upload. I welcome any comments and necessary criticism.
  23. Received my backpack from Dirty Boy yesterday. All the armor is put together minus the thighs. Hopefully by the end of the week. Weather after I complete the build! Ready to join the Brotherhood!
