  1. Wow the CO and the XO are away.... Wooo Whooo! Get the kegs and lets get busy!
  2. take all the time you need brother. He will hold down the fort in the mean time.
  3. That is one way to boost membership in the MEPD. A very expensive and time consuming way. Congrats. Enjoy. The only thing I love more than Star Wars in my wife and kids and being a dad.
  4. I love being apart of this detachment. I think the reason so many people are submitting great armor and trying for SWAT builds is because of the mutual respect and support that is displayed during the research and submission process. There is no jealsousy when people reach for these goals. The crticisim and comments are done in a positive and constrictive way. I disagree with the comment that it takes courage to sumit a SWAT build. The to approval board and the membership could not be more supportive and helpful. Courage os not necessary with this system. Just time and desire. We are aa great detachment for many reasons. And I am truly glad to be apart of it. Long live the MEPD, long live the Empire.

  6. I agree with the CO. Move Along is the way to go. But the filter one looks the coolest to me.
  7. My understanding after reading the CRLs is that you do NOT need a back pack. The back pack is optional to get approved as a TD. However, if you wan to be a full member of the MEPD and get deployed as a MEPD TD police officer you MUST have a back pack. If you want to get your kit approved for SWAT you only need a back pack if the trooper you are emulating had a back pack, otherwise you do not need it for SWAT. It is possible to get approved as a 501st member with a TD kit with no back pack. This will give you full 501st member privileges but you can not have full MEPD member privileges unless you are a deployed police officer. That requires a back pack. Getting approved for SWAT does not give you full MEPD member privileges (at least that is my understanding). However, that may be something the Command Staff may want to consider in the future but that is another conversation meant for another time. Hope this helps.
  8. I would weather after because you want it to be uniform. If you need to make alterations there mught be straight lines in your weathering or odd looking patterns.
  9. thanks again everyone. I cant wait to troop in it now that I am official.
  10. This is great news. Thanks, this is just awesome! I can not tell you how good this feels. This was a very interesting process. I knew that it would publicly subject me, my kit and my meager building skills to comments and criticisms that would point out numerous flaws. But I thought those flaws would be of my armor and not my research. I am surprised out how unprepared I was for this next level. It was very easy for me to get the CRLs and follow them step by step to get deployed. However, there are no CRLs for SWAT. I thought I did enough research but it is clear that I did not. Thanks for keeping the comments and criticisms positive. They truly were great. I sincerely apologize for my lack in preparation. The support and patience of the command staff both in public on the forums and privately behind the scenes was invaluable and essential. It would have been real easy to tell me I wasn't ready and that I needed more knowledge before re-submitting, but you guys did the exact opposite. And the support and positive comments of the MEPD brothers was uplifting as well. This truly is a brotherhood and I am honored to be a member. This is the most proud I have been since joining the Legion. Thank you for that. I look forward to helping out in any way that I can and I cant wait to troop in my SWAT kit. I am officially throwing my bucket into the ring. I would be glad to help out in any way possible. I would love to serve the Command Staff and the detachment in any way possible. I will be trooping in my new SWAT kit on 9/29/13. This is going to be as memorable to me as my first troop ever. Thanks again!
