  1. Jason, AWESOME! The 'We'll Camp Anywhere" was brilliant. Great job troop. AT-AT was wicked too.
  2. Team, Just wanted to share some fun. First, I have to give credit to TD-5491 (Walt). I read his posts on 501st and got this idea from him. Also, I have to say before you see the pics that I started this project & I intended to complete SWAT before this was done. So this is my carrot to finish my SWAT build. I know I am not SWAT, but will only display this in my son's room. He thinks I am SWAT, so that is what is important. I also got clearance from Rick to add the command staff to the 'Collect these other awesome characters'. So take it all with a grain of salt please, no insult is intended. But man is this cool....I used my deployment date and TD #10072 for the numbers. So I made my own 30th Anniversary custom action figure:
  3. We would love to have you sir. Mark was at the Expo, first time I met my Garrison was there. Next year will be better. I think it was the first year in Las Vegas. Wasn't very big, but cool to see TDs in action.
  4. @ Rick, no rubin for luck, but the looks were cool. They either get it and love it or walk on the other side of the street. @ Brian, Thanks our wranglers took them with cell phones. Took some Photoshop to get light enough to post. @ Jay, PO PO drove by and waved, security and management knew we were there. And since our Garrison really isn't doing any troops, we just went on a 'walk about' and made a bunch of kid's day. And yes, lots of pictures. @ Brad, sorry the pics are back. I changed my Photobucket around and they fell out. Live and learn. @ Michael, yes it is strange to be in Las Vegas. You get more people on the street and people who have been drinking a little tooooooo much. Have to have good wranglers, and we do. This trip was mellow due to the location. Very high end shops and more family activity. We also have to compete with non 501st and poor costumes from entertainers who take money for pictures. We had one lady I had to insist not pay us for pictures. She thought she had to.....Move along lady, move along.
  5. Just got to go trooping with fellow brother TD-4636 (Smoke) on Las Vegas Blvd. Thanks brother, I needed that. He is always in character and professional. I was confused by the Fiat they had on display and told him it was too small for a transport, but the kid train driving around might work better. The best was the Mac Store and standing in-front of the iPhone 5 window. Several people walking by wanted to know "Are those the Droids you are looking for"? Nope, not them. Also my son's first time helping us wrangle. Poor kid was as tired as me. But he did a great job keeping me from running into things and trooping over kids that wanted pics. Mark at the Mac store looking for droids......NOT here. These new coms are cool, but look fishy...... Strange that this prison didn't go anywhere...Just locked in the wall. Loved the light on the ground...
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER! German beer is the BEST! :woot: :woot: :turned: Take hang over medicine.
  7. Juan, Rick and Michael, I would like to withdraw this post and request. While I did over a year of research for my build, long before being deployed, I just discovered a few more things I can add to my gear. I'm going to work on those mods and re-submit as SWAT in a short while. I appreciate all the feedback and welcome any additional opinions to assist me in a PM. Thank you.
  8. Sir, great job on those approval posts too. I like the little references to the movie. Nice and light as well as entertaining. And CONGRATS to our three new officers!
  9. Al, GREAT JOB and CONGRATS! Welcome to the team brother. Awesome build and details.
  10. Matt, What a great job man. That entire build is awesome and you can tell how much time you took. Great attention to details. Looking forward to seeing you in the pit brother. Oh, and nice ride too. My 16 year old loves it.
  11. WOW! Al, yes, that is what a SWAT post feels like. Just ask anyone who has been there. It is all in good fun and to help make us better, but seriously....THAT WAS FUNNY! Rick, not sure who needs to go on the couch, but I am about to go on mine and sit in a fetal position and suck my thumb....hehehe.
  12. No problem Nick. In the picture it looks that way, just shadow and weathering.
  13. Nick, there is only one on the back. But thanks for the info.
  14. Smally, I take it back. Luis said it best on Facebook: Good things come to those who wait. (SCRATCH THAT) Good things come to those who work their a@#&$ off and never give up. (Now THAT's what I'm talking about) Thanks Luis for the great quote brother. I appreciate it and used it. Juan and Rick, not a challenge to chime in. I know you are busy, just friendly banter with Brad. Move along, move along.
  15. Al, I know, I know. Need to be patient. I work retail and know what they are going through. I get days off, unlike some (Bad bosses, bad bosses) and spend it glued to the computer. Watching. Waiting to open my Christmas present.
  16. Correct Neil. No E-11 holster for TDs.
  17. Juan, No stress. I understand. Take your time. Rick needs to get you a helping DO team. We are getting too big. NEVER TOO BIG! Just kidding, I know he is working on helping you out with a team. Seriously, take your time. I just needed to hear from the bosses so I could relax. I was beginning to think I really did upset someone. Like I told Rick, I will go sit in my corner and wait quietly. Thanks for your time and have a great day.
  18. Thanks boss for the time. As a fellow internet entrepreneur I know how busy you are. My site went down THIS week. Cyber Monday blues.
  19. Ok, now I just feel bad. Rick is working 14 hour days and took time to post on my SWAT build..... DUDE, get back to your family.
