Looks like you had a lot of fun!

So cool seeing everyone's R1 troops. My garrison's was over 2 hours away and it snowed all weekend so I couldn't make it if I wanted to.

Is the Anovos replacing old armor? Could have sworn you've been a member way longer than I have.

Rogue One -- Jehda Patrols are "Sandtroopers"
Airborne Trooper replied to BrinkHouse's topic in The Barracks
Can't argue with a book that's Lucas Film approved. Glad we have some new stuff coming. Not sure if anyone has started making armor yet though. -

Great looking armor! You look like a Spanish version of Felix lol -
Amazon Prime membership if you don't feel like driving lol. I seemed to always do my JoAnn's run with other errands I needed to do in town. White Armor and MEPD are very welcoming. We both will go above and beyond to get you squared away, you just gotta ask for the help and put in the work. White Armor has a lot more traffic so you may get faster replies on questions but when it comes to all things sandtroopers, you'll need to ask here so you can get the definitive answer. There's also a big difference between getting 501st approved, going level 2 Police Officer, and the elite level 3 SWAT. SWAT is probably the most difficult to achieve out of any of the 501st detachments.

If you go with the option for them to assemble it, you're still going to need to make modifications. You're better off getting it in kit form, reach out to your local garrison for help, and put it together yourself.

Welcome! Take the time to research the character you want to emulate. Read SWAT threads of approved SWAT members so you get an idea what the panel is looking for.

Going for police officer clearance....question.

I have the canvas w/ tool pouch and extended leather strap for my shoulder. Leather on my belt. -
It should work fine for PO
-
Just the sandtrooper for now. Plan on doing reserve & TI pilot and gunner in the new year. Basically getting as many costumes as I can out of the jumpsuit.

Welcome, Tom. Being in the UK, you have a lot easier access to some of the items used in the film than the rest of us. Check in with UK Garrison, especially Britannia Patrol to get squared away. Nothing wrong with getting your basic 501st first and working your way up to getting a pack.

Made it all worth it, didn't it?
-
Looking forward to seeing a Bapty version.
-
For the pauldron, just hit up Trooper1. He's the expert pauldron maker for us so it's possible he could make a smaller one for you.
-
In that case, you will want one of the kids sized pauldrons and build your backpack based on the park seed trays which is a lot smaller. Hit up Crashmann here and I guarantee you he can help you with your pack needs. Let me find a source for the pauldron.

Go with what the CRL says. You'll make any changes if you decide to go PO and beyond. -

For 501st entry, focus on basic. Here's the CRL: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TD_sandtrooper You'll need the canvas with tool pouch for your shoulder ammo pouch, leather for your right hip. -

You will need a pauldron and shoulder ammo pouch for basic approval. Look into AM2.0 as they sometimes offer individual parts. -
What's Rogue One? lol looking good
-
Well if you're already a TK then you've already done most of the hard part. Careful trimming will definitely be required.
