  1. You have to be signed in to see anything at all. That's how it looks when I jump on another device and I go to the forum.
  2. You need to pull your bicep and forearm up, your left bicep is sticking out from the shoulder bell. The shoulder bell should cover the bicep. Also, your left thigh needs to be rotated or your left shin is rotated. You want the front cover strips to generally be in line. Please follow this thread for all the photo requirements for your submission:
  3. The return edge on the bottom half is up to you. Just leave enough on the top to add the machine screws.
  4. While you wait for finishing strips, you still have some flashing to remove, especially on the bottom of the butt plate. I'd use a hobby iron to fold that return edge on the top of the butt plate down so it's not pointing up. Finish cutting out your shoulder bell and get your knee ammo pack and belt taken care of.
  5. The visual guide is official. If anything the 501st adapts to Lucas Films. Now it's up to the Legion command and respective detachments to interpret how things get sorted within our organization.
  6. I see RS and I'm hoping it's for a reasonable price. I like that you'll be able to offer it stateside so that saves on customs & shipping wait time, currency conversion, etc.
  7. Yeah, it really starts to come together when you do the strapping. That's where you'll need us to critique fitment. Have a friend take lots of photos for you. Have you started putting the cover strips on the pieces?
  8. Would it be ok to upload the pictures on here?
  9. Please one of you wealthy MEPD members buy it and share the knowledge gained.
  10. Thank you. Need to do a little more to the radio but it's getting there.
  11. I put the female on the armor and male on the elastic/nylon. There's probably a million and one threads about strapping systems on FISD so I recommend you take a look. Don't reinvent the wheel. Make sure you leave return edges so you can put the machine screws to replicate the original strapping method.
  12. I saw some of the pictures. That's more detailed pictures than I've ever seen. Glad I saved them The asking price is a little unrealistic though. I wonder if it's the same guy who's been sitting on one for like 10 years.
  13. It'd take the original image instead a picture of a magazine to really play with hues and histograms to figure it out.
  14. Congratulations! Make sure you apply for 501st access here as well as your garrison forum. Looking forward to seeing your deployment submission next!
  15. I guess I should actually start browsing other sections that for sale and ongoing merch on the 501st forums to see if there's an official discussion
  16. You can trim the back down a little and see how it feels. Just trying to save you from trimming the front if possible.
  17. Nice! I'm not a GML but I know that would be one of the first things mentioned during approval process with mine.
  18. Are you able to pull your thighs up higher before making any cuts?
  19. The swoop that goes down, I had to make it go down further. Really, you're just going to have to find what makes it more comfortable for you. Most guys I know, including myself, can't sit down or pick up things dropped on the floor. I can walk up stairs but it's not pretty. If you want a comfy costume, go with scout or TI lol.
  20. Never got stationed in Alaska (too cold for me), but I spent 9 years at Fort Bragg.
  21. I agree with what you're saying. Falling in dirt doesn't make you a sandtrooper. But realistically, the armor would still look pretty similar if done today. Yes, I wish the R1 sandtroopers at least had the diamond knee plate.
