  1. When panda did his he left it as 2 pieces and attached them together on the back with strapping. I was almost thinking that instead of cutting out the 3/4" strip, I might just make 1 cut which would be the equivalent of the bottom cut in the photo, then glue the 2 sections back together by placing the bottom cod section on top of the ab secition. But making just that 1 cut that would leave about 1" of the cod piece still attached to the ab portion and that 1" section should be plently enough to glue to when the 2 sections are placed back together and glued What about taking a little off of the top? There dosen't appear to be any major details on the top and some of it probably is hidden under the chest piece anyway.
  2. Has anyone else done this? I just want to find out if there will be any problems getting approved by doing this.
  3. I was just going off of what CRL has listed. for straps it just says "via soft straps" <--- that leaves a lot on the table, I can use the waistband stuff it thats what it takes to pass and for belt it says "Belt proper is made of canvas, canvas covered material, leather, or vinyl, 3 to 3.5” wide. The color is be white to off-white." Duck cloth is similar to canvas but its a little stiffer.
  4. Is it ok to use duck cloth for the shoulder straps and ab belt. I have seen refrences to canvas. Personally I feel the look is very similar but I think that duck cloth is easier to work with and more duriable.
  5. Thanks guys going with ATA.
  6. Hi Guys, My wife has decided she is not going to watch me have all the fun and that she wants to join the 501st ranks. All on her own she decided that she wants to do a Sandy. I am hoping to make an armor decision and get something ordered this week. Here is where I could use some help. Does anyone has suggestions on what flavor of kit to get the would have the parts necessary for approval. (is there a kit that comes with the ab plate mods and correct knee plate?) She goes about 5'7" 170-180 any suggestions are welcomed.
  7. Does anyone have a current lead on these small pouches? I found these My link but they would need dying.
  8. HI Guys, I'm fairly new to the Legion. I was approved as a Snowie back in June. After the wife tagged along for a few events she saw how much fun we have and decided that she wanted to do something as well. I told her to take a look at costumes and she decided upon a Sandy. I welcome any suggestions or tips.
