  1. Props to you for handling it so well. I've only done the one Troop so far and folk have been nothing but fantastic (although the "why are you so dirty?" gets a bit tedious after 100 times) and I hope it continues.
  2. About time i did this. Eric Moore TD7362 http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showuser=4608 Requesting access to the Sandtrooper Section please
  3. Blimey, wish i had thought of that - did mine by splodging on acrylics. Yours looks much more natural.
  4. Colour me a Happy Bunny - picked up the latest Star Wars Insider magaine in Smiths yesterday and there's my Dianoga in amongst the pages. I'd sent the pic off not long after i'd finished the build and got an email back from Lucasfilm (gulp) pretty much straight away saying they liked it and would be using it in a future edition. I'd have been happy to have had just an acknowledgement from them, but to have it in the mag is a real thrill.
  5. Glad to see this discussed, as i'm looking to making one for mine. It looks like the length is sorted above - but what about the greeblies either end? As there been any definitive, or close enough to pass, parts recommended to be used?
  6. Thought you might like to see this? I had a hankering to make a full size prop from Star Wars last year and have always liked this fella so thought i'd have a go. He's a real simple build, being two pieces of plumbing part and an "L" junction, glued to a base, covered with bubblewarp, covered with Duct tape, the eye stuck on, copious amounts of plaster bandage added and hairs donated from the washing up brush.
  7. Thanks for the welcome folks! Dunno what's hapopening with my photo i'm trying to put up - thought it was small enough already, but i'll keep trying. Anyway, this is where i'm at build-wise: Helmet i made last year. I've held off dirtying down as i want to do it and that all at the same time for consitantcy. I've got the dark green lenses but am holding off putting them in till i'm all dirty: Radio and cistern are done: Boots have touched down: And i've a whole box of backpack parts to play with right now!
  8. Brilliant stuff! - good to see there's some other SF modellers here. That's a nice kit isn't it? I was ata model show last year and one of the other guys had one and i spent the whole bash tinted green with envy.
  9. How do. Been popping in here for quite a while now, for regular fixes of insperation (thanks all!) and i'm a member over on the UK Garrison. But as i've started a Sandtrooper project, i thought it was about time i said hi. So, hi. And huh? too - i've been trying and trying to set up a avatar photo, but it keeps saying i've failed. Any idea what's up?
