  1. Did any of you guys notice that there is 2 types of BoyScouts backpack Frames? - One frame has more bars across - and a thin bar across the bottom "step" that holds the pack's weight - and the second type has only 1 center bar across the back and a thick bar across the Bottome "step" that holds the pack's weight.

On your pack Mike - you have that thin bar on the bottom - on mine, that bar is thick like the ones that run across your back in the center of the pack.

    Thanks,

  2. Hello,

I had 2 packs that I sold on ebay about 4 or 5 years ago - both needed to have a box made because of the size - and both needed to have the "Mortar Pipe" removed for packing. I will be going through the same problem soon too - I have an extra Marco Entertainment backpack that I'm going to sell on ebay.

    Thanks,

  3. Hey Guys,

I have SDS armor - the strips came down all the way to the bottom edge (of the upper leg armor). So I cut the strips down, and sanded them untill they were gone - then I added the part line (with and exacto knife) to make the armor look more like ANH. If these were the original molds (which I don't think) - He cut the front ends of the lower half of the upper leg armor (where you knee is) to be flat. See my pictures below. Was there strips on the backs of the upper legs and on the middle and lower arm amor?

    Thanks,

  4. Hey guys,

Did anyone ever notice that the trooper armor became simpler from ANH to Return of the Jedi. I'm not talking about the basic Stormtrooper but really the off shoots. For example; The Snow Trooper wore a lot less armor and so did the Scout Trooper and AT-AT driver. The imperial guard wore like no armor - except the helmet. Both the Snow and Scout troopers also used a lot of white in there uniforms to create the allusion of armor that is actually not there. I think they made these uniforms with less plastic armor because the actors had to hard of a time moving in the Standard Stormtrooper Armor. Let me know what you think.

  5. Dear All,

First of all Matt - You said about the hamburger Stacker that - "I've been to LFL - I DON"T THINK I KNOW" - Now your backpeddling. I think the Hamburger stackers are like the Boy Scouts Backpack Frames - They could work pretty good and look close - But they are not the Real McCoy. So is your strapping a guess or are you saying you know? Because like the Hamburger stacker - I say your guessing!

    Thanks,

  6. Dear Mike,

Is your antenna - from bottom to top - the Master Plunger (ribs) - the main body - the 1 inch PVC pipe, and the top the part from the vacuum hose? Do you know the name (company) of the vacuum hose and is that the top connector of the hose? Your antenna looks great.

    thanks,

  7. Hey guys,

I have a suggestiong for bending the Boy-scouts backpack frame smoothly. If you can get a very Thick PVC pipe 3" or 4" - a Wood Dowl around that thickness - you place it in the center of the backpack frame - across from right to left side. The top half of the frame will will have to secure to the table that it is lying on. If done on a work bench you could secure it down by nailing 2"X 4" across the metal fame tubes to hold it in place and secure. The Dowl or Thick PVC Tube across the center (below the frame) represents where the frame will bend and rap around the tube. At this point it will look like a Teeter Totter on you work bench - one end secured down and the other up in the air - with the Dowl or Thick PVC tube below the frame in the center spanning across from right to left. On the opposite side you can either try to force it down by hand slowly or secure a piece of wood on that end and hammer it down to make the bend. The Size of the Thick PVC tube or Wood Dowl represents the size of what the bend will be - Example 3" very Thick PVC Tube will make a 3 inch bend - so when you are finished the top and the bottom of the frame will be touching the table flat and the center would be 3 Inches up in the air making a somewhat pyrimid shape (for a lack of a better explanation).

    Thanks,

    Jack Vartuli
