  1. You know Rolf - I still don't buy it! I think just like everything else - they will streamline the armor for better production and it will not be the same as the original. That's why they actully changed the in ROTJ - when they had new armor manufactured by a different maker - he streamlined it to make it simpler to produce. And since this is a company looking to make a good profit at the least amount of money spent - they will probably do the same. I just want to point out - in the 1997 Star Wars Special addition - they couldn't be bothered to make the armor acurate and just ussued the ROTJ armor. Sorry to be a pessimist, But I do have my fingers crossed that your right and they do make the correct ANH armor. jack

    SDS

I owned that - for $750 - Sold it on ebay a couple of months ago for $500. I'm much happier with my TM helmet. jack
  3. Don't forget me for the next run. Thanks, jack
  4. If they couldn't reproduce the correct armor for the 1997 "Star Wars special edtion" added scenes - what makes you think they'll do any better for collectors! It will probably be something like that MR crap or just the ROTJ armor they produced for the Special Edition Scenes. jack
  5. How come you got stuck carrying the MG? Were you the new guy in the platoon? jack
  6. Dear Rolf, Why are you saying they are shotgun shells? did you read that some where? What gauge shells? Thanks, jack

    SDS

Personally - I think it's all too pricey! I use to own the SDS "Stunt" helmet and armor - for the amount of money he's charging it could be built with a little more love and care - not just slapped together like what I got. jack

    SDS

I use to own his armor - it was constructed nice, and had milky white shiny finish - but it was totally inaccurate. I wonder if any of those other molds are original - Fleet trooper helmet, Death Squad Commander helmet, Tie Pilot helmet and chest piece. jack

    SDS

Ya - I think because he lost the lawsuit here in the U.S. It's still too expensive to me -for what your getting! I mean after the Armor Fiasco - I question weather any of his molds are original. jack

Did any of you guys notice that SDS is having a 25% off sale on everything? He must be ready to loose that law-suit by Lucas in the U.K. and is trying to move as much as possible before. jack
  11. Hey Guys, I saw you were talking about the origins of Fan made armor - I have owned 7 sets of armor over the last 17 years. My first set was in 1991 Marco entertainment. Second Set was in 2000 FX. 3rd + 4th Sets were purchased in 2002 - 2003 - 2 GF Follano. 5th set was SDS purchased in late 2005. My 6th set purchased in late 2006 was TM, and my 7th set was another TM (sandtrooper). I'm down to just the 2 sets of TM. I thought I share with you guys the original Catalog pages from late 1990- early 1991 of Marco Entertainments Stormtrooper Costume and parts. Jack
  12. Thanks Mike, I got it on the U.K. ebay site. thanks, jack
  13. He guys, Here is a Cistern I picked up. Still needs some work done to it. Thanks, jack

Hey Guys, I just wanted to say what a great board this is and the Monitors are great too. You are allowed to speak your mind here! I'm part of another board - for the 1966 batman TV show - http://www.66batman.com/ - everything you say is edited and if you ever mention the makers of costumes and props they dump the threads or lock them up. They don't even allow you to critique work that you consider crappy. What a bunch of *****. Oh ya, forgot to mention - no swearing either. The MEPD is like a breath of fresh air every time I come here - the Monitors are NOT like Nazi's and you are allowed to speak your mind. Thanks Guys for letting me vent a little frustration at you, Jack Vartuli RedFox@optonline.net {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif {SMILIES_PATH}/dance.gif
  17. Looking Good Rolf!!!! - Have you started on you TK yet? jack
  18. Can't wait to see your progress building it up! jack
  19. O.K. - Sorry for the delay - I had a busy week - this is the Toilet Siphon from above resting on my backpack - the round cylinder part is kind of large. Thanks, Jack
  20. Hey Guys, I just got this syphon - it is not perfect but I was thinking of combining it with the "bellows" that I had already created to make a better version. It is actually rather large on the backpack - when I get a chance I will take a picture for you guys to see. Thanks, j.
  21. Hey Guys, Don't know if you guys noticed - but I think they actually bought different size siphons for the backpacks - I you look at some of the backpack photos from ANH, sometimes the top part of the siphon (where the 2 pipes meet) is higher on the backpack even though the "bellows" part of the siphon is in the same spot. I have noticed while looking for the Correct siphon, that the modern siphons around today come in multiple sizes and I think that was probably true back then. thanks, jack
